I don't think either of them make the list.

Chavez scored his knockouts by accumlation of shots. He would work downstairs to the body and break his opponents down systematically before knocking them out.

Rafa Marquez is a solid puncher, but arguably Vasquez is a bigger puncher. I don't think either of them make top 10.

    Top 20? Maybe

Sure, speed, timing and accuracy as well as raw power(plus elbow hit after hooks).

Well, it's hard to say p4p. People quite often just go for the average weightclasses and go from there. I, myself find p4p raw power to be very hard to decifer. Fighting mobile opponents(the further down we go in weight) can be easier to knock out, and harder to knock out. People who throw alot are also more open for KOs, and much often one shots. So all in all it's quite difficult.

    Indeed.

    Take Arguello for instance.

He was at his best campagning at 130, where he would be knocking out the majority of his opponents.

What makes him an all-time great puncher was his ability to go to 140 and still be knocking guys out. That is punching power.

You ever seen his one shot knockout of Kevin Rooney and Costello?

    Epic.

Yes, Arguello had true punching power. Sadly HWs don't have that luxury to prove it, unless they were at a lower weight to begin with.

Have only seen the Rooney one, which was very neat - will check the other one out...

Clearly you must have missed mine then.

Naseem was an all time great puncher.

    Abraham could be in there.
Tua should be in there (despite the p4p will not benefit him)
    Tito perhaps
    Haye perhaps

I'm always surprised when Hide never gets listed towards the back end of these lists, considering he was a natural cruiser KTFOing top HWs.

I'm not too clued up on Hide, but he does seem to get mentioned a fair bit when it comes to power.

i would have thought haye - the guy has ko'd every man he's thought apart from once when he wanted to prove he could go the difference, and won every single round. as far as power goes - he's pretty much up there.
