Can't recall off the top of my head to be fair.

    Robinson
    Leonard

They were my top two. Can't remember the rest but I think De La Hoya, Gavilan, Walker, Curry, Napoles. Not sure who else was there.

What a division. That said, lots of the old greats here. Lately we've had some very goods, but not greats. Here goes...

    Robinson
    Walker
    Ross
    Napoles
    Griffith
    Armstrong
    Gavilan
    Leonard
    Basilio
10th choose from Hearns or Britton or ?

MR M, I regard Henry Armstrong the best modern featherweight EVER, and along with Joe Gans, Benny Leonard, Ike Williams and Roberto Duran, the greatest lightweights ever. But I recall Fritzie Zivic decisioning Henry in 1940 when Armstrong was 28 years old as a WW, then in 1941 Tkoing
Armstrong when he was but 29 years of age. And in 1943 I watched the
lightweight champion Beau Jack beat Armstrong in MSG..A few months later at MSG, we in the crowd watched Ray Robinson "TOY" with his idol to win easily over the great FW and lightweight former champion. My point is Henry was in his prime as a FW and lightweight....But he would give any WW a helluva tussle, who was not named Ray Robinson...

I think the welterweight division has a strong claim to be the strongest and deepest division, both currently and historically.
