If you're going down that path probably both Dempsey and Louis make that list in place of Frazier and Tunney.

Not a bad list, though I'd replace Adamek with JC Gomez. Adamek didn't do **** at the weight.

I have some problems with ranking cruiserweights. The first is what is a crusierweight? For a while the weight was 190 now it is 200. In hea to head erms is it fair to match up a crusir from the 190 era to one from the 200? More importantly can you compare their acomplihments? The divison is a new one. For a long time Heavyweights fought at and against guys who were under the limit, should they be included?

All the cruiserwweights move up for heavyweight money, so Holyfield, who did same with most success, gets the nod by me too. Jirov was a bit burnt out by time he fought Toney, and that fight was very close, I'd give him a mention.

I think its fair because most of the bigger name CWs ended up as heavy weights anyway and at CW they were limited to fighting other guys at CW.

Adamek wasn't at the weight for long, but he did win a world title, and his wins include cunningham and o'neil bell.
This is part of the problem with ranking cruiserweights, they often don't stay at the weight for long. Toney didnt do much at the weight either.

That's a bit like saying Tyson beat Holmes, or Lewis beat Tyson, or Spinks beat Ali.

Here's what it says in Wikipedia:

In a big upset, Dempsey lost his title on points in ten rounds. No longer displaying his legendary punching power or hand speed, Dempsey was easily outboxed by the slick Tunney who would dodge, use excellent pad level, and then let loose with a salvo of punches of his own. The attendance for this fight was a record 120,557, the largest attendance ever for a sporting event outside motor racing and soccer. When the battered Dempsey returned to his dressing room, he explained the defeat to his film actress wife

It certainly wasn't a prime Dempsey that Tunney beat even Tunney knows that. And yes, it is Tunney, not Tuney
