I believe like many others that there are too many weight classes and obviously too many belts. If there would only be one belt available and fighters would do the weigh-in only on fight day, who do you think would be the top 5 fighters of the following weight classes :

    Lightweight :

    Welterweight :

    Middleweight :

    Light Heavyweight :

    Heavyweight :

    * Take into account that many fighters would have to fight at an above weight class because the weigh-in is on fight day and lets pretend they wouldn't be allowed to dehydrate even at their own risk.

.....but here's my list for the following :

    Lightweight :
    1-Manny Pacquiao
    2-Juan Manuel Marquez
    3-Joan Guzman
4-Juan Diaz (still looks like he could make weight for now)
    5-Michael Katsidis

    Welterweight :
    1-Floyd Mayweather
2-Miguel Cotto (would suffer to make weight)
    3-Shane Mosley (would suffer also)
    4-Junior Witter
    5-Ricky Hatton

    Middleweight :
    1-Winky Wright
    2-Cory Spinks
    3-Vernon Forrest
4-Oscar De La Hoya (i think wouldn't be able to make welterweight)
    5-Antonio Margarito (neither would he)

    Light Heavyweight :
    1-Joe Calzaghe
    2-Bernard Hopkins
    3-Mikkel Kessler
    4-Kelly Pavlik
    5-Chad Dawson

It would most likely be the top 5 fighters in each of those divisions at present, as many would have a huge physical disadvantage

    I don't mind the weights

I leave many guys out because I don't believe they could still make weight in their present respective weight class. Therefore, many boxers wouldn't be as dominant needing to go up....

No possibilities of gaining 15 pounds between the weigh-in and the fight !

Doesn't anyone have their own lists of fighters they think would cover the weight classes in these circumstances named above ?

Really like your list but don't think Pavlik would make 160 with a weigh-in on fight day...
