Super heavyweights are classified by their weight not their height

Yes but I don’t think we should call him a super heavyweight just cause he’s tall

    Holmes
Some guys have him as high as #2...get a grip. The guy's two best victories were pseudo-great Ken Norton and hot-and-cold Tim Withersoon, and they were both dodgy. The guy had 19 defenses because he ducked the best challenges.

    Dempsey
    Didn't fight black guys.

    Patterson
Like every fighter he ever faced knocked him down, and he didn't even defend against his best challenges.

    Liston
Primarily known for twice KO1ing Patterson...SEE ABOVE. Other than that, he beat the fairly unimpressive Valdez, Machon, Foley and Williams, and quit against the only top-notch guy he ever faced. NOT a top five guy, like some have him.

    Bowe
Should have 2-3 more losses on disqualifications, and a dodgy win against Tubbs. Made his bones beating a great fighter who he naturally had four inches of height and 15-20 pounds of weight on. Never had another impressive fight, and a few truly embarrassing ones.

    RUNNER UP 1
At one point, Wilder would have topped the list, but people have largely woken up to what a few of us already knew...TOTAL AND COMPLETE FRAUD.

    RUNNER UP 2
Those saying Vitali have a point, I just don't think he is THAT highly rated to get into the top five. But yeah, a career of missed opportunities for sure.

    RUNNER UP 3
We did not learn enough about Ibeabuchi. Both quality fighters that he beat were little guys by heavyweight standards, and we really don't have any data on how he would have handled a big, strapping contender.

    RUNNER UP 4
Corrie Sanders caught lightning in a bottle, but didn't like boxing, didn't train, and mostly lost big fights, and not-so-big fights.

    RUNNER UP 5
People like to inflate Tony Tucker because it adds some luster to Tyson's record, and because he was a big, athletic looking kid for his day. He was the eighties sixth to eight best heavyweight, and nothing more.

Bowe, maybe Dempsey is a little, Ibeabuchi, Tua and Haye in 2010/11 before he lost to Wlad in toe-gate.

Sonny Liston - Beat Patterson twice and Cleveland Williams twice and that's about it.

Ken Norton - Take away the Ali fights and all he beat was a badly faded Quarry, Jimmy Young and Duane Bobick.

Riddick Bowe - Beat Holyfield twice (fortunate to survive 3rd fight) and a bunch of fringe contenders, talk about a short career prime.

David Tua - Basically made a career out of KOing John Ruiz so quickly, struggles mightily with Rahman.

Hasim Rahman - Never has a fighter gotten so much out of landing one big right hand. Showed his true skill level in the 2nd Lewis fight and 2 KO losses to Oleg Maskaev.

Separate thoughts: Never figured out why Holmes was afraid to fight Page. I feel like Joe Frazier doesn't get proper respect, as there was only one man (Foreman) he could not beat. Did not address David Haye, Brits loved him, vast majority of USA boxing fans didn't know who he was, he didn't seem to be much, other than have a really well managed career. Tim Witherspoon blew his prime years, that and Don King put the screws to him. I didn't address Patterson, as everyone agrees he kinda came along at the right time to be champ. Ibeabuchi's career was more unknown than known, mainly speculation of what could have been.

    Liston
    Tyson
    Vitali
    Fury
    Marciano

Liston, Tyson, Vitali, and Fury get described as unstoppable and reach mythical status sometimes. Which Is funny to me because their resumes clearly don't tell that story. Liston & Tyson get excused too much imo.
Fury can change my mind once he gets a few good title defenses and takes over the division properly, but with no defenses and 1 great win/1 good win, he's getting ranked highly prematurely.

Marciano's resume was as good as he could get in his time (correct me if i'm wrong), but his biggest names were fighters who were out of prime. He gets overrated like crazy in fantasy match ups against super heavyweights.
