Who are the best prospects with not very many fights? How good is this guy, Khizir Pliev? This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Bogdan Dinu. - A VERY serious prospect, IMO. I'm also very psyched to see Denis Boytsov step up to a top opponent, though he's probably already too experienced to meet your criteria for this thread.
Perez is too small, and too sloppy. He's from the Paul Williams "just keep throwing and never mind the defense" school of boxing. - but maybe with a better trainer he could be a serious contender. He sure has the power, speed, & guts.
If David Price's chin can hold up he could be a future champ, good boxing skills and big power in his right hand, he did get stopped in the olympics though against the eventual gold medal winner I think his name was Camarelli.
I guess Helenius and Pulev are now officially contenders. Boytsov is somehere between prospect and contender. Glaskov is next. Not the biggest puncher, but he has all the other tools. Great prospect. Mike Perez. Louis Ortiz. Artur Szpilka Abdulsalamov David Price. Sure would like to see Deontay Wilder step up, or Seth Mitchell, but I don't hink they are "next. They need some time.
Of guys with under about 10 fights: Vyacheslav Glazkov (by a long shot) Bogdan Dinu Artur Szpilka (assuming he can stay out of jail) Michael Wallisch (beat 27-0 Yakup Saglam last time out. Never seen him, but I assume he doesn't suck based on that. I was never high on Saglam, but he's also not fodder for your typical four fight fighter.) I've heard decent things about Thabiso Mchunu, but I haven't seen him fight, and the South African press tends to inflate their worth of local fighters. Flo Simba sounded like a worldbeater according to them until he got flattened his last time out. Magomed Adbulasemov had a good amateur career, but I've seen him a few times and haven't been impressed. Luis Ortiz has been good so far, IMO, but he's a pretty old Cuban and has that kind of cocky style that will probably lead to him getting knocked out when he's not paying attention. Of the guys in about the 15 fight range, I like Kubrat Pulev, Robert Helenius, Tyson Fury and Mike Perez the best. Edit: GMTA Cachi. Almost the same list posted at almost the same time.
Americans: Deontay Wilder Joe Hanks Seth Mitchell Fred Allen Europe: Tyson Fury Derrick Chisora Francesco Pianeta Adrezj Wawrzyk David Price And I don't feel highly about any of them outside of the Chisora-Fury Winner. All the rest have not fought anybody really worth a ****. I like Deontay, but ****ing hell Damon Reed shouldn't be his toughest opponent to date.
I noticed Mchunu in boxrec. Apparently he was a good cruiser who recently stepped up. Good luck to him. Dinu is really gaining some traction. I have to keep an eye out. Although he has to be a lot more active. Haven't seen Wallisch fight, but Germany has a lot of guys- Wallish, Gerber, Teper, Charr. Apparenly they have a long way to go, although I compeltely agree that taking the fight against Saglam was ballsy. To bad Romanchuk can't get his personal problems solved and get in the game.
I am real worried about Pianeta. He beat the cancer, came back for one fight, cancleed a second and has disappeared. Hope he is allright. Warwyrk and Wach don't seem to be going anywhere. Hope I am wrong, but they seem to be satisfied being stuck in second gear. Same to be said for Czeck heavy Ondrej Pala. I didn't mention Fury and Chisora because the winner is more or less a contender. I saw some of Fred Allen on Youtube. Seems like a likable guy with a good head on his shoulders. All of the Americans are the same- they have to step up the competition before they can really even be considered proper prospects. We have a lot of guys I think could get in the game, but they have to do it.
I doubt the people saying Fury, Chisora and Perez have ever seen them fight. They are not very good, at all.
