In which case, it'll probably be some Latvian cab driver or Hungarian roadsweeper.

Wasn't Simmons supposed to be fighting Usyk at some point? :confundio1:

At the moment I would go for Josh Taylor he's a wicked talent, Keep a look out for Aston Brown he's a very good prospect and very dedicated, he's been traveling to Manchester a lot lately to train with me.

    Yeah Aston was
Yeah Aston has a lot of international experience in the amateurs. Not heard much about him lately, his form dropped a bit
before he turned over. Got stopped in WSB. If he is still fresh and not got too many miles on the clock from all the tough amateur bouts he was in, he could progress to British level in the pros.

billy as much as i like stephen simmons no way will he ever be euro level, i hope he does well and manages to get his chance at the british but imo that is his level:thumbsup:

totally agree on jason easton and the sooner you manage to get him in with lewis benson the better! jason schools him in the pros:thumbsup:

stephen tiffany is another good un, i rate him higher than joe ham:thumbsup:

sam ball is another decent prospect but think he will fall short at british level unless he tightens his defence but he did give josh a tough fight the year of the commonwealth games:thumbsup:

josh taylor imo is head and shoulders above the rest imo and he will show that against dave ryan:thumbsup:

Well I hope Stephen proves you wrong,he has looked great in sparring for this fight and super fit for a big man, credit to him for working hard and listening, great spar next week with a big heavyweight who's also on the Bellahouston show

I don't see Simmons being a solid operator above Euro level like you say Billy, but your the one who see's him in the gym every day and I hope he kicks on with his career and makes some waves now.

Would have liked to see him close "Yeah Buddddddddy's" mouth again, but he gets absolutely nothing out of it... onto bigger and better things.

I know JLD has called it a day now after the 2nd jaw break, but was there any discussions regarding a rematch to try and write the wrong?

Stephen is well above wald's level now, if he performs the way he has in the gym you will be impressed i'm sure on the 1st Oct.

like i said i hope that he does well but realistically the 1st october is going to be a fight for stephen to get back into things an his opponent won't be that risky. its understandable since its your first fight together in a long time but i really don't see what we will learn? if the opponent hasn't been named yet then it will be a journeyman type will it not?

Hopefully it is a good fight for Simmons. Benson v Byrne is an interesting one for the undercard. And Thain v Brough is good.
