Take this era into any era and they'd be competitive.

He beat Briggs, Holyfield (who was robbed vs Valuev), Whitaker and was robbed vs Austin. That's a pretty good career. A lot of good early 2000s guys (Tua, Byrd, Lennox) didn't do much after 2005 or didn't do anything after 2005. Also, H2H plays a factor. If it was purely accomplishments Fury and Vitali would taking a beating in the ratings.

    1. Fury
    2. Wladimir
    3. Joshua, based on depth of resume
    4. Wilder
    5. Povetkin

How are ya'll ranking Vitali and Haye? Usyk needs one more fight to crack the list, imo.

Like folk quoting Chagaev, IbragImov, Pulev, Haye etc....im sure they are right up there in the top 10 'greats' from any 17 year period in the era in boxing

Adamek, Sanders, Solis, Briggs, Char, Arreola. Yeah, not so good, but decently good. I was just struggling to come up with better fighters after looking at their resumes and results. You know, Vitali had more defenses than Wilder and I would argue a better resume. So why Wilder and not Vitali?

Looking in detail at their careers, Povetkin>Wilder and Vitali, but of course Povetkin had little in the way of achievements

BS .. Klitschko, Fury, Usyk, Povetkin etc would all translate well to other eras.. there are generational talents there… multiple Olympic gold medallists as well.. get out of the ****ing past ffs ..

    Fury
    Usyk
    Vitali
    Joshua
    Wilder
    Povetkin

Gets a bit tricky after that. Haye, Adamek, Ibragimov, Chagaev, Peter, Ortiz, Chisora, Whyte, Valuev, Helenius and Pulev would all be worth considering for a variety of reasons.
