When you say our era you forget that this forum consists of members who watched SRR do his thing, as well as those who have only been involved in the sport long enough to know the names Mayweather and Pacquiao. If we go by era's that span around a decade than here are my ATG picks and some of the HoFer's off the top of my head from within my lifetime: 2010-2020 ATG's: ?? This era still has a way to go before I can reflect on the quality of competitors HoF: Guillermo Rigondeaux, Gennady Golovkin, Saul Alvarez, Tim Bradley, ^^^^^ 2000-2010 ATG': Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao HoF: Juan Manuel Marquez, Wladamir Kitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Andre Ward, Sergio Martinez, Nonito Donaire, Chris John, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, David Haye 1990-2000 ATG's: Roy Jones Jr., Pernell Whitaker, Ricardo Lopez HoF:James Toney, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Bernard Hopkins, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Naseem Hamed, Hector Camacho, Felix Trinidad, Oscar Delahoya, Shane Mosley, Joe Calzaghe, Michael Carbajal, Kevin Kelly, Jose Luis Ramirez, Buddy McGirt 1980-1990 ATG's: Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson HoF: Marvin Hagler, Khaosai Galaxy, Aaron Pryor, Tommy Hearns, Julio Cesar Chavez, Wilfred Benitez, Larry Holmes, Azumah Nelson, Mike McCallum 1970-1980 ATG's: Mohamed Ali, Roberto Duran HoF: Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Salvador Sanchez, Alexis Arguello, Wilfredo Gomez
David Haye is underrated but he hasn't done enough to warrant HoF worthiness. Overall, Hagler had a much more accomplished career than Tyson.
Really good list. I'd go with just a few changes to mine of some men you list as HOF'ers who I believe warrant being "ATG's." As far as the men you list as ATG's, I agree, with the exception of Tyson. As far as men you list as HOF'ers, you need to add for the 2000-2010 era Ivan Calderon and Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. The only man I'd remove from any of those is likely David Haye from that same decade. Obviously you keep a tight lid on the number of guys you believe are "ATG's" and that's not a bad thing by any means.
