This article should debunk any myth that Floyd ducked anyone.

He retired when people wanted to find out who the best at WW was...not gonna read that ****.

 

Mayweather already accomplished more then them all combined. Mayweather was the best, it was up to Cotto, Margarito, Williams to do some things to prove they were on Mayweather's level.

Hoya at the time Mayweather fought him was a better fighter and proved more problems size and skill wise then those guys.

I believe so, but of course nothing is guranteed. Mayweather was to quick and to fast for Cotto in 2008, the slowed down heavier version of Mayweather that Cotto fought was way more to Cotto advantage.

I also think Cotto's fights with Margarito and Pac made him way better prepared to fight Mayweather then 2008 Cotto.

That's an opinion/speculation. Just like I seriously believe Margarito would've walked down Floyd should they have fought back then. Floyd had nothing that would have made Margo respect him.
