IMO, he would need a lot of MW title defenses. His opponents could be Abraham, Sturm, Winky, etc. Then, a good campaign on the 168 division...Kessler, Bute, Andrade, Calzaghe. And why not Chad Dawson at 175?

All time great status depends on quality of opposition, level of performance against world class opposition, and longevity. So far there is really only one name on Vincent's list that meets the criteria for world class opposition, and that is Joe Calzaghe.

Up to this point everytime Kelly Pavlik has stepped up in class he has won. Watch how he moved upward in small increments.

    1) Zuniga: Two very good prospects engaged in an all out war, and Pavlik won.

    2) McKart: I consider McKart a step up from Zuniga because, for the first time, Kelly faced a highly experienced professional with a decent record. Mckart was a cagey, tough as nails southpaw with 54 fights, and no one had ever stopped him. Kelly destroyed him in under 6 rounds.

    3) Miranda: Kelly was canon fodder to help HBO build Miranda into a big star. We all know what happened.

    4) Taylor: Pavlik left Taylor slumped in the corner asking what happened. When you have to ask if you got knocked out, you didn't just get knocked out, you got KNOCKED THE **** OUT. In the second fight Pav injured both hands and had to adjust to a much improved version of JT. He still out boxed the man who most felt was faster, more skilled, and more athletic.

I see no reason to believe Pavlik would fail in his next attempt to take a step up in class. If Kelly fights and beats Calzaghe, he will simultaneously hold world titles in 3 divisions. That's only been done by one other fighter: Henry Armstrong. That accomplishment in and of itself should get him a place in the Hall of Fame. However, Hall of Fame level, and all time great status are two different things. The question of whether or not Pavlik will reach all time great status has so many variables that it isn't even worth debating at the present time. Let the kid have a career first!

No. It started with all his Fxxx Pavlik's. I started to suspect something then. Now this. He can't bring himself to say it directly, but he is a closet Pavlicker. :tong :deal
