Tyson earned the most money from boxing purses ever (I think).

I heard he earned a total of $300m+, but I am not too sure of that figure.

 

I bet Tyson didn't see much of it though. He was probablly very rich on paper.

off topicish, in his film he says he regrets hitting king in a hotel lobby over money, it was only a small amount of money nothing worth attacking someone, maybe 20 or 30 million, small money!!!!!

thats how he blew all his money calling 30m small money!!

 

Tunney got a cheque for near enough a million for the Dempsey return, he gave the promoter a cheque for the difference and the promoter handed him a new cheque for $1mil, think Patterson was the first to get an even million when he fought Liston

 

I think in comparison for what money bought at the turn of the century and what it can buy now it has to be the likes of Dempsey and Cofrom back in the day who were the biggest earners..:think.... 1 million greenbacks back then... someone on here must be able to work it out in its present day exchange rate.....:huh
