Who are you rooting for in the Katsidis/Guerrero fight?

    Can't help but like both guys. Both very humble nice guys of the sport with heart wrenching back story's. That being said I'm rooting for Katsidis and expect him to walkover Guerrero a la Kevin Mitchell

    I can't root against either guy, and a loss would be pretty significant in their careers. Katsidis has been through a lot, but so has Guerrero, and both have worked hard to earn their rank.


    I think Katsidis will take it in a tough fight.

    katsidas of course but he always comes up short in his big fights.

    and frankly im getting sick of the comparisons of him with Gatti. Gatti could win the big fight and if he had a puncher's chance he sure as hell always got it when way behind. Katsidas never does...just cause the guy brawls and cuts doesnt earn him the right to be compared to Gatti.

    Guerrero will win and I hope he bust Rios up afterwards. I really can't stand Rios he needs to be KTFO.

    Yea, when people call him the new Gatti, it does make me cringe a bit. Katsidis does have that old school fighting mentality, and he does have shades of Gatti in some of his fights imo, but he isn't "the new Gatti". He's simply Michael Katsidis, whom I am getting attached to simply from Kats being Kats in the ring.

    I was made a fan of Katsidis after his super gutsy performance versus Joel Casamayor and Juan Manuel Marquez. He was supposed to fight on a card in my hometown but it was cancelled so i never got the chance to watch him live.

    In addition to his Gatti-esque never-say-die style, he also tugged the heartstrings when he broke down crying after Max Kellerman mention his dearly departed brother right after being stopped by Marquez. I love seeing fighters who can be human and show emotion outside the ring but who control and focus it in the ring for good effect. He fights with all his heart. You know his body will succumb before his heart does.
