Just curious. Who are your 3 favorite fighters and why? I'll start it off. 1) RJJ - Incredible raw talents in his prime. Was fun to watch both on and off the ring. 2) Hopkins - The master of the "Sweet Science". What he lacks in raw talents he makes up for in ring savvy and intelligence. He knows exactly what he's doing every second in the ring. 3) Wright - I really love the hard road he took and appreciate him for that. I like his personality. And i love his "take on all comers" mentality.
I'll assume from your list you mean active, so: 1 - Juan Manuel Marquez - I love technicians and the greatest thrill boxing's given me this decade was his thrice of the canvas comeback at p4p #2 Pacman. 2 - Bernard Hopkins - He gets the job done and he's a right horrible ******* in the ring. 3 - Ricky Hatton, somehow. I used to hate the guy for the way the media bummed him, but I guess it really was Warren that was holding him back. Since, he's left his comfort zone against quality opposition and above his weight. Fair play. Now he's taking on the best in the business.
1) Barrera- tenacity, skill, pride, all shown in almost every fight ive seen for the last 10 years 2)Duran- pretty much same as above, and loved the big 4 rivalry with Leonard, hearns and hagler. A menace to all, beautiful to watch also 3)Eubank- !!!!! I cant explain why!
In no specific order. James Toney - his attitude and ring style w/ a granite chin Erik Morales - hes the truth in every sense of the word Felix Trinidad - His power/heart and quality of opposition was amazing
Shane Mosley - technique and attitude on/off the ring. Pacman - of course I'm a Filipino Roy Jones Jr - My first boxing idol when he was in his prime... and the last one the late Diego Corrales...
Evander Holyfield- The heart of a lion. Roberto Duran- Best body puncher. (next to JCC) ODLH- Great all around fighter.
I know it said only 3, BUT, Id like to add Hagler and Julio Cesar Chavez to my list as well! Possibly Hearns, Morales, Castillo and JMM also!
1)Mickey Ward-Gatti-Ward 2, round 3. nuff said 2)Roberto Duran-His butchering of davey moore was terrifying and beautiful 3)Joe Frazier-"They lied to you champ, they lied"
miguel cotto - whats not to like? shane mosley - fought and beat great competition in exciting fights. oscar de la hoya - exciting fighter.
Active: Wladimir Klitschko - He has been through some real rough times as a pro and faced alot of criticism. He handled it all with nothing but class and never gave up. He worked on his flaws, developed a style to minimize his risk and is now on top of the division. Not to mention he FINISHES his opponents, and his fights always provide excitement. don't have time to do #2 and #3 now.
