1. manny pac because the guy just cant keeps pickling my head with his speed, power, footwork and work rate. 2. migel cotto because of the heart and fight in the man. for the first half of the pacman fight where he went to war with him an gave him a brilliant fight. 3. floyd mayweather because technically he is the best fighter out their and defensively he's one of the best ever. 4. david haye because he brings speed back to the heavyweights in a division thats full of massive slow ass giants. but i doubt he would of even bein a contender for the 90's fighters. 5. ricky hatton because people forget to quickley about who he was before floyd an pac. he fought the to elite guys in the pound for pound in their primes! he put up way more of a fight against mayweather than marques did and that punch from pac would have knocked a bull out cold. so maybe he's not elite but he still a great fighter.
1. Sugar Shane Mosely - His willingness too fight anyone is impressing me. Age isn't on his side but hopefully he got a couple of fights left in him. 2. Manny Pacquiao - I dont know if hes on PED's but his performances of late especially have been amazingly impressive. 3. Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Come out of retirement and instantly the spotlight is on him. Bringing hype back too fights and hopefully will get it on with Pacman soon. 4. Andre Dirrell - Wasn't well known to me before the super 6 but he is well known now. Unlucky in the Froch fight i thought got a little rough housed and the home advantage clearly helped the judges scoring towards Froch. 5. Edwin Valero - If only this man was given a license to box in the states earlier! He woud have been a much bigger name than he is now! ( On February 5, 2001, Valero was involved in a severe motorcycle accident in which he wasn't wearing a helmet. He fractured his skull and had surgery to remove a blood clot. This injury was sustained prior to him launching his pro career, and it has created roadblocks to major bodies sanctioning his fights. Valero claims that his Venezuelan doctor cleared him to fight on January 17, 2002, and he turned pro that July with a first-round KO. Valero appeared to hit the jackpot when he was signed after his 12th pro fight by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Boy_Promotions"]Golden Boy Promotions[/ame]. Valero was scheduled to appear on [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HBO"]HBO[/ame]'s [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_After_Dark"]Boxing After Dark[/ame], but in January 2004, he failed an [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MRI"]MRI[/ame] due to brain scan irregularities in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York"]New York[/ame] and thus was not allowed to fight in the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States"]United States[/ame]. As a result, the fight did not take place. He has continued to fight outside the US, and, as of March 25, 2008, Valero was cleared to box in the state of [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas"]Texas[/ame].) Think good times are coming for this non stop animal of a fighter and his seemingly willing too fight anyone which is always a thumbs up in my book.
1. Pavlik - obviously. I expect people to jump back on his bandwagon after the Martinez fight. 2. Dirrell - The sky is the limit for him. 3. Gamboa - Always electric. Potential fight vs Caballero is must-see. 4. Cotto - I fear he may be finished, but hope he gets another shot at Margarito before it's too late. 5. Fernando Guerrero - One to watch in the next couple years. Hon Mentions: Pac, Mayweather, James Kirkland, Jean Pascal, and just about everyone at 140.
