What is it with Tunney making these top 3 lists? you got to be kidding. :huh Great Fighter. But he is not a top 15 heavyweight of all time, let alone top 3. The man had less than 10 fights at heavyweight in his whole career. He drew the color line, and never took on a man above 203lb. Had he stuck around and defeated Schmeling, Sharkey, Godfrey...then you could make a case for top 5-10.
ok then that is like saying that pac and floyd are not great fighters because floyd has had 5 at welterweight and pac 3 so u have to tae talent opposition beaten and other accomplishments in2 account
The top 2 is a no brainer. It's Ali and Louis in whichever order. I have Ali as nr. 1, but it's very close. The nr. 3 is harder, though. For me it's an argument between Johnson, Marciano, Lewis and Holmes.
Currently 1. Ali 2. Louis 3. Sullivan Over the years, I've also three'd: Marciano, Jeffries, Dempsey, Johnson, and Holmes. btw Spud1, I have less problem with Tunney top three than I do Tunney out of the top fifteen. I think he's very underrated.
