    my list goes like this:

    1. manny pacquiao
    2. nonito donaire
    3. gerry peñalosa
    4. aj banal
    5. z gorres

    honorable mention: bernabe concepcion, boomboom bautista, donnie nietes

    Bautista is seriously let down by his chin and Gorres by his lack of power. I don't see much of Banal where I live to even properly assess him.

    Great list and yes I would switch up Penalosa and Donaire. Even at this age the old man still has a lot more to offer.

    technically, those 4 boxers are better than pac, but pac has better intangibles and power. there are several decent filipino boxers to be watched out in the future. i think banal and donaire can make it big

    I keep hearing tons of praise for Banal but I have yet to see the guy. Are his fights on youtube? If not, where are you guys getting them?

    Yes, he has a couple of fights at youtube. but they are of very low quality. and normally only the rounds where he kos his opponents are posted. but still, they are better than nothing.


    banal is a good kid. he's fighting for the regular wba title soon (mijares holds the super champion belt). i think he is not ready to challenge any of the top guys at that weight yet. he's lucky the guy going up against him in this title fight is not that good

    bautista was ko'd in 1 by de leon


    penalosa was defeated by UD in 12 in a fight that most people think he deserved more rounds than he was given. plus he is a two tim champ.

    boomboom is still beating up bums. he has never won against anyone worth mentioning. how boomboom can be rated above gerry, i have no idea

    i think boomboom just faced a dangerous fighter early in his career. he has a lot of time to improve, especially his defence.
