Interesting choices with Burley and Abe Attell over guys like Griffith, Napoles, Gavilan, Armstrong, Sanchez, etc.

i didnt know that beating mosley in his fourth weight class who only won one fight at the weight while on roids, and losing to simon and vargas makes you one of the greatest 154 lbers of all time.

You could make a case that he won both of those(in fact I scored the Vargas fight for him), while shutting Tito(your top 3 ATG at the weight) out and beating Mosley twice. Not bad in my eyes, especially considering head to head he easily ranks among the best. And it's not exactly a deep weight class. What the hell did Tito do at 154 to rank that high in that case?

His consistency/dominance is what ranks him so high at the weight.

Trinidad is Top10 at 154 (mainly because he was excellent toe-to-toe, because he only fought three times there and didn't accomplish much).

He is also Top15 at 147.

Sorry, I didn't read that this was about the "original" weight classes.

Just preference I could have given Fly to Wilde but I feel he cant handle Villas relentlessness even being a smaller man. Elorde was just in no mans land in terms of weight but one of the greatest for sure.

Espinosa, Bantam is a weak class..dont know much about Jofre only that hes Brazilian..Id stick to my boys

Gomez ran into Mr. Salvador Sanchez and found out what a real featherweight's punch was like. If Lil' Red Lopez' right hand had found Gomez's chin, the result would probably been the same too.

Bantam is not weak, there are quite a few that rank well above Espinosa as well. Jofre, Harada, Zarate, Olivares, Panama Al Brown, etc.

I don't think Lopez was nearly as skilled as Sanchez or Gomez.

At 122, Gomez was a master, and I don't see Lopez beating him. If he can win a war with and stop Juan LaPorte, I don't see Lopez taking him out at 122. 126? Meh, could be.
