no way anyone can become the man at WW without first going through Pac who just easily handled two top5 WW's back to back.

    1. Pac
    2. Mosley (i had him at #1 before Pac demolished Clottey)
    3. Floyd
    4. Berto
    5. Cotto (if he already moved up to JMW, then Clottey makes my top 5)

Sure they can. Mayweather was the man at WW prior to retirement and he looks as good as ever. Mosley beat Marg, considered the top WW post Floyd's retirement. Not that difficult to comprehend.

I don't think the welterweight devision is that deep after Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley and Breto. I am not trying to pass him off as a great boxer. I thought about Luis Collazo who is a tough fight for anyone but has no big wins. Gomez is by no means an eleite boxer, but like I said I do not fell it is right to give Cotto or Clottey the #5 spot

Same here. Pre Clottey fight I'd say Mosley by far but because of the win against Clottey, I have Mosley only barely ahead of Pac and wouldn't argue with anyone putting Pac ahead.

Mayweather was the man, he retired he was not beat.. He seems just as good still and a win over Mosley in my opinion who is a top WW would put him there.

Mosley beat Margarito, and a win over Mayweather would be two better wins than Pac beating Clottey and Cotto.

I think the winner of Mayweather Mosley is for sure the man at WW.... An argument can be made that Mosley is the man right now.

You aren't the man when theres a huge question over whether you are actually the best in the division. Idiots have been looking to crown people as "the man" everytime they bag a decent win (see Mosley over Margarito, despite losing to Cotto, suddenly is conclusively better than jesus) in some farfetched attempt to bring credibility to alphabet soup divisions.

Do you think their is no man in the division right now??? I think it is open myself... I have not crowned a man yet, Pac, Mosley and Mayweather are all kind of even to me at the moment.

How did Mosley stop being "the man" at WW...after the margarito fight ESB WAS ALL OVER SHANE LIKE HE WAS SOME BEAST THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE....

SHANE IS THE MAN TO BEAT AS HE BEAT TONY WHO WAS THE MAN AT THE TIME....

PAC IS #2 IN MY BOOK..CANT TAKE THE 1 SPOT UNLESS U BEAT THE CHAMP OR THE #1 GUY IN TH E DIVISION IF THERE IS NO CHAMP..THOUGH I DO KNOW THAT "OFFICIALLY" PAC IS THE MAN TO BEAT PER THE RING BUT SHANE NEVER LOST THAT TITLE AND TRIED TO GET A FIGHT WITH MANNY BEFORE COTTO BUT MANNY TOOK THE BIGGER PAYDAY AND BETTER DRAW (WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE)

fair enough...but consensus view was that Tony WAS the man to beat BECAUSE he had beaten Cotto who many considered the top guy after Floyd retired
