Clottey is NOTHING like Mayweather. Clottey stands in front of you with his guard up, waits 'till you finish punching and returns fire. That pretty much negated Cotto's skills. Mayweather is also NOTHING like Pacquiao. He isn't as powerful, and he doesn't throw anywhere near the number of punches Pacquiao does. He would have virtually no chance of stopping Cotto. Pacquiao busted him up because he was stronger and tougher, simple as. (He did outbox him as well, but that's another issue.) Mayweather would probably win in a close fight against Cotto. Cotto doesn't come blundering in and make technical mistakes for Mayweather, nor is he some sort of blow-up doll which stands there for the taking like the version of Marquez we saw fight PBF. He can back you up with the jab and throw combinations (= what you need to beat Mayweather). I'd favour Mayweather to win a close decision but Cotto is FAR from a push-over.
at 154 Martinez would pose a threat due to combination of speed and high out put , Williams would need to be disaplined and fight BIG , if he took it to the inside as he has in recent fights he wouldnt win a round. at 147 mosley has the speed of foot to keep up with floyd , clottey is no faster than baldomir and we seen what happen there. Berto untested , and another untested is Bradley just in case that name comes up.
We will never know because he would not fight any of them. Fantasy fights - floyd always wins. Actual fight???? Even God does not know because he lost Floyd's balls when he created him.
That WOULD be a great fight Danny and i'd love to see it. But do you expect Floyd to sign for such an opponent? It is possible that Floyd would view Martinez as too high a risk for the reward on offer! Whoever Floyd fights, as a fan of his I just want to see in with a truly world class opponent!
