Forrest is clearly looking like the class of 154 at this point, and i can't see anyone beating him....i am looking for Spinks and Karmazin to avoid him for as long as they can until they face him and get starched....and we know DLH will never take that risk, he already avoided Forrest at 147 and he'll continue to duck Forrest and call out jr. welters until he finally quits....i can't see anyone who can beat Forrest right now at 154, maybe Sechew Powell will give him a run in the future, but not now...

does Quartey even still fight? and i don't have a clue what you see in Karmazin that makes you think he do anything with Forrest, except get bodied....Karmazin beat a sick Ouma, and still managed not to look like a world beater even tho he won handily....i'd like to see a rematch on that one....

 did you not see the Vargas fight? Mayorga looked just as old and slow as Vargas, and if Vargas still had a chin he would've KOed Mayo....Forrest gets his revenge via bodybag next time Mayorga sees him....:deal

Vernon would destroy Mayorga, now that he has his shoulder fixed

vernon looked great in his last fight but that was against piccirillo who makes a lot of people look great (incl vernon's nemesis mayorga)... i honestly would like to see a 3rd fight between the forrest and mayorga just because it was obvious from the post-fight interview that vernon still had mayorga on the brain... you could tell he has the feeling that he can't rest until he deals with his nemesis once and for all

to answer your question, though, maybe winky wright...

Spinks could possibly outbox Vernon Forrest - so I wouldn't count him out of that fight yet. Ricardo Mayorga already holds two W's over Forrest - so victory is not a guarantee for Forrest. Anything is possible. A De La Hoya fight would be interesting - but is very unlikely right now.
