Ken Buchanan would have had an absolute field day vs Valero. I liked Valero very much, and considered myself a fan, by the way. He just would have been made out to be a complete fool vs the Great Scot.

Hard to judge it's true he wasn't around long enough. He showed he was better than many people like to judge him though

I have more important things to do with my time. My secretary can type 60+ words per minute and should be able to get a nice starters list typed up here in about an hour.

Here's a better question to ask. What top notch fighters did Valero beat to suggest that he was a very talented boxer?

Not only would he be clowned by Packey McFarland but he wouldn't even be in the top 3 best wins on McFarland's resume

    I think there's a genuine arguement he wouldn't be top 5

Welsh, Britton, Erne, Moran and Gibbons.

A better question would be: Which of his contemporaries does he beat at lightweight? Lumping 130 and 135 together, you had Guzman, Soto, Raheem, Diaz (Juan and Julio), Juarez, Campbell, Funeka, Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Casamayor, and Pacquiao
