Who beat Canelo more convincingly: Mayweather, Golovkin the first time around or Bivol?

Ggg didn't beat canelo but even if you think he did, he still went life and death with him in an extremely close 1st fight. What's next? Are people going to add Lara to the list to???

Canelo being better is a myth he's bigger but he still has the same flaws now as he did then and i have said this for years. He just didn't fight guys like pbf who could exploit his flaws. :deal:

Deluded.. for a starters weight matters, a fight at 160 would be a different fight than the 152 catchweight .. literally Floyd made up a new division for that fight… Why would he do that if size wouldn't matter or if he wasn't worried about something? Yes I don't think 175 is Canelos best weight either , but I certainly don't see 152 as being it .. Regardless tho.. what that fight did do was show Canelo where he needed to improve.. Footwork , Punch variety , Upper body movement , Composure etc.. & you can clearly see that even by the time of the first Golovkin fight he had improved .. his upper body movement, use of the ring, stamina, shot selection etc had all improved.. He probably learned more in that one loss than he had in all the fights leading up to it.. the Canelo Who Floyd fought had basically fought an old Mosley and Austin trout… The Canelo Bivol fought had shared a ring with Floyd, GGG twice, Cotto, Kovalev, Saunders, Jacobs, Lara etc.. a variety of styles.. you can't buy experience or seasoning like that, so to argue that he plateaued at Floyd is some of the cringiest arse licking ever… The whole point of plying your craft is to improve and get better… Otherwise what's the point? You just don't want to admit otherwise because it takes away from your little homosexual hero Floyd .. The Canelo of today beats the snot out of the 23-year-old 152lb version.

Nope, 9 - 3 wasn't good enough. It had to be 10 - 2 or better. As proven Saturday night.

The idea that Canelo is a better 175 lber than he was a junior middle weight utterly ridiculous

Enough of this petty bickering! I'm sick to my ass of it! Let's have a round robin between Floyd, GGG and Bivol to settle this debate once and for all. The top 2 duke it out again for the crown, third place gets to fight Clenelo as a consolation prize. You feel me? I'm down for this. What say you?

Stop with that drained ****. Canelo weighed 165 on fight night he was a super middleweight in the ring that night and pbf weighed 150 he was outweighed by 15 pounds on fight night but haters like you never bring that up. Why? Drained is what oscar was when he fought pac learn the difference. You just want to try to discredit the great win and schooling.

No canelo is not any better and ggg your God is just slower and not as good as bivol and pbf. Who are far more dynamic who have more range faster of both hand and foot and flat out just more skilled..canelo matched up much better with ggg and those others than he did with bivol and pbf it's that simple.

Lastly if he was such an improved fighter why didn't he beat bivol or atleast give a better account of himself??? Afterall like you said he learned so much from the pbf loss right??? He got better right??? Lmfao! It's a myth those guys he fought weren't as good as bivol and pbf period. People see what they want to see canelo looked better to boxing novices and casuals who don't understand that anyone can look great against overmatched opponents who cant expose and fully take advantage of flaws but put him in there with someone who can actually box and not fall apart and he's the same old canelo.

Except the Floyd fight was at 152, and of course he's a better fighter now than he was then.

Well they are all very different fights at different weights with different styles...
I would say Canelo was best at 154/160 so lets look at the details more closely.
So against Floyd it was a catchweight of 152lb with no rehydration clause. so I don't really buy that Canelo was drained as he would have probably rolled into the ring at 165lb or so although Canelo had not faced anyone near Floyd's skill level.
This was a pretty good schooling by Floyd who looked confortable and never looked in danger despite one judge scoring it a draw. For me this is one of Floyds best wins.
Next at 160lb are two fights against GGG. again we have to consider that Canelo was coming in heavier after taking a lot of gear.
These two fights were closer but I consider this peak Canelo. I scored the first fight 9-3 and the second 7-5 both to GGG. So yes more competitive than both Floyd and Bivol however at his best weight without compromising speed and endurance too much.
Lastly the fight with Bivol at 175lb. Although Canelo is prime in age and ability it's clear 175lb for a guy whose 5ft 8in is too much for his frame. Canelo was slow in hand and foot and was blowing hard after the 4th-5th rounds. I would say Bivol gave a slightly better schooling than Mayweather. Both were clearly faster with hand speed and movement making Canelo look more limited than he actually is.

So in conclusiom it would be Bivol. Mayweather then GGG. I would say however the GGG version is clearly the best version of Canelo.
Bivol and Mayweather though would always beat Canelo at any weight within the individual weight range due to speed and movement as on both occasions Canelo was unable to adapt. This doesn't mean Bivol and Mayweather are better than GGG. it's that they have differesnt attributes that are more problematic for Canelo to deal with. If we put the other three against each other at prime it certainly would not be clear cut.
All three have excellent fundamentals. Floyd is the most skilled and defensive but is the lightest and smallest. I can see a prime GGG potentially beatimg Floyd and Bivol as he clearly has more power than both and could ko either one. Which leaves us with Bivol who would beat the lighter Floyd and would need to keep his distance with GGG. For me it would be a coin toss between prime GGG and Bivol with me slightly favoring GGG due to having clearly the heaviest hands of all the fighters mentioned in this post.
