Nah you’re just a boxing purist. I remember your irrational hard on for Hopkins as well. You have a clear bias towards certain technical styles.

Get this propaganda off this forum. Hands down the worst agenda having boxing youtube channel on the net. You have more credibility than that idiot.

What rounds did Maidana win in the 2nd half of that fight? Please tell me so I can tell you that you don;t know how to score a fight and don't know **** about boxing.

Mate, I like proper boxing as well. But proper boxing doesn’t always win you the fight, and we’re judging the fight. Not who is the prettiest, cleanest, craftiest boxer.

I mean, that's fair enough - I believe we are both major fans of the work Lomachenko does in the ring, but even the biggest among us Hi-Tek admirers have to admit that Orlando Salido did some pretty effective stuff on the night they met to nullify Lomachenko's pretty boxing, for instance. Or, a more nuanced example, Calzaghe's vastly uglier output doing the job of, in Mikkel's own words "spoiling my boxing" (his being far more textbook & 'correct').

The best one could give Maidaina is a close loss. Maybe a draw if they are feeling generous.

Again trying to diminish me by calling me kid. Only people who are losing discussions resort to that.

    1) Why should a pro boxer know how to judge a fight better than some internet message board guy? Are you serious? Most high level boxers dedicate their life to learning the sport, they study hours and hours of tapes of fighters and often are fans themselves. You sound completely ridiculous. Honestly it's pathetic. You are a complete nobody in the world of boxing (nor am I) and you expect that you know more about boxing and how to score it than someone like even a Tim Bradley or Andre Ward???? It's ridiculous. Robert Garcia thinks Floyd lost to Castillo...so are you telling me you know more than him?

    2) That is YOUR opinion, not FACT.... It's OPINION and you trying to make it a fact doesn't change that. There were many close rounds in the Castillo fight that could have gone either way...MANY MANY people inside boxing agree with that. Are you trying to tell me that a fight that you would consider a draw, would suddenly be egregious if one single more round had gone to Castillo? Really?

    3) Just stop. You literally said there was variance in scorecards on any given night....you know why? IT'S SUBJECTIVE. Why do you think there are so few 10-10 rounds?? Every judge, fan boxer and internet message board guy has their own bias, favours different things. You keep trying to make your opinion gospel but as you can see, even other people in this very thread disagree with you... but you know more than them also, right?

I'm not even trying to say both beat him, I'm just saying I could see how one of those fights could have gone against Floyd.

Agreed here bud. Maidana was a rough dude, he had the right idea. But Floyd always made those adjustments when needed. On the fly even. Took a real good fighter to make Floyd really think in the ring. One fight of Floyd's I'll never forget watching was his "KO" of Ortíz. Victor with the head butt, tries to make peace and gets blistered lol.

Yes, Maidana had the right idea, but wasn't entirely up to carrying it out.

Now if Canelo had adopted Maidana's gameplay instead of trying to box with the best boxer of his era, I'm pretty sure he could have beaten Lil Floyd.

JLC CLEARLY beat Floyd. A few guys from the ams did too which Floyd never avenged :) But Chino and Oscar... could have went to them had the ‘judges’ been as harsh to Floyd like they were GGG in the Canelo fights. Just sayin...

I thought Floyd won both TBH but I can see Castillo's argument that he edged it. Maidana clearly didn't beat Floyd, it's not even a debate.
