Paulie offered little, but had Hatton charged in like a clown as he had been doing, he would have played into his hands. He was shocked not only by the pressure, pace and intensity, but by the actual intelligence of Hatton's plan.
Definately. It also looks like he doesn't follow thru all the way on his punches at times. They seem to stop right around the impact area. I think his knockouts would go up if he punched through the target more, but I know how much he likes to punish these guys slowly.
It would be a great fight if Cotto and Hatton matched up! Of course im gonna be rooting for Cotto. But maybe if it was at 140 Hatton could take it
The same Hatton who was hurt bad by light hitting Collazo? No way he stands a chance against Cotto. If he thinks fighting inside is key to victory, he will be laid out easy.
Fighters tend to be terrible liars about this sort of thing. It is Malignaggi's way of saying the fight with Hatton shouldn't have been stopped because he's seen tougher nights.
Are we talking about the same Cotto who chickened danced far worse against Mr. Pillow fists Demarcus Corley than Hatton did against Collazo? And not to mention that Hatton was fighting the bigger man at a higher weight, where as Cotto was fighting a pillow fist he outweighed by an astonoshing SEVENTEEN POUNDS, yes that is correct 17 LBS.!
Corley is a bigger hitter then Collazo. He also had Floyd staggered as well. Also the shot he hit Cotto with was on the temple which would make any fighter hit on the temple get really woozy. Hatton would be whooped bad by Cotto. He wont be able to handle his power. He is just to strong for Hatton.
