It was the same version, just that a weight drained Cotto was in a closer fight. Pauli was just not that good to begin with.
i said you'd have a arguement with "vunerable" b/c it sure as hell isnt "hurt" . and i'm not saying all this just to diss hatton, alrite. i know you get really sensitive & emotional when i toss his name around. 1) if watching both fights 2) seeing paulies physical condition afterwards 3) and hearing paulie himself say he was more hurt in the cotto fight doesnt cut it........ what other facts can you come up with other than he was on ***** st. paulies greatest performance will always be losing to cotto. he took a hell of a beating and was never really the same afterwards. we were all expecting the paulie that fought cotto to show up and he never did w/ exception to n'dou 1.
why do people think the malignaggi - cotto fight was close? it was'nt close at all. malignaggi was throroughly punished.
Cotto really hurt Paulie but he kept trying. As soon as Palie felt that short right in the 2nd against Hatton he wanted no more. It was a good punch, musta made him realise he could get injured worse than he did against Cotto, hence why he kept spoiling. Hatton's victory was more impressive. It was over a more experienced, if no more impressive, champion.
Unless otherwise clarified I interpret the word "beaten" in relevance to anything combat related as "beat down" and Cotto definitely gave Malignaggi a bigger beat down.
Hatton could have given Paulie a much bigger beating, but his timing was slightly off, and he wasn't helped by ***gi constantly ducking below the belt.
So much for Ricky Ruiz :nut From the 2nd round the fight was over, but for his desperate holding he was probably receiving a ten count there and then - because he would have ate a good few more shots.
Repeat this part to yourself and realize that it sounds COMPLETELY stupid and then edit it afterwards... :good
