Cotto did bust Paulie up big time though. It was probably because of that fight they pulled Paulie out so early against Hatton.
very true but paulie was actualy in the fight with cotto, he never looked like he could do anything against hatton.
Cotto-Paulie was a much more competitive fight. After the first round or two Hatton won the next like 9 or 10. Not really the same as the back and forth war that was Cotto-Malignaggi
I voted Ricky because even though Paulie looked like a chipmunk after the Cotto fight Ricky's punches seemed to have more effect IMO and I'm not really sure but I think I kinda remembe Cotto being slightly shaken off one of Paulie's shots, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hatton won every round after the first, beat him up, broke his spirit and stopped him. The Cotto fight was a two round fight 116-111 on my scorecard and many others, so I don't see how people could say Cotto beat him more convincingly.
Of course Hatton...but Cotto fought a better version of Malignaggi IMO...not leaps and bounds better but a more competitive and confident version. I also think Hatton is a better fighter then Cotto at 140 but not by a whole lot and his style is better suited to dominating a guy like Malignaggi. If this thread it being made to compare the fighters and to gauge how a fight would have gone between them I dont think how they beat Malignaggi respectively matters. I would barely consider it when analysing a fight between them.
No it wasn't made for that purpose, but perhaps just to give credit where credits due. I did actually stumble on this picture of a busted up Pauli that made me think of the fights... This content is protected
Oh, and also of cause Hatton's victory over Paulie automatically means he KO's Cotto after giving him a one sided beat down...:hey Just joking...
hatton tko malignaggi, and after hatton dismantles pac man, he can go up to ww and ko cotto. that would be convincing
