Are you only going with guys who have already been voted in? Seems like there are some names missing.

Thanks for the list. Many of those obviously haven't been voted in yet because they are still active or haven't been retired long enough.

What would your list be? It's pretty hard to get in the HOF. Many of those obviously haven't been voted in yet because they are still active or haven't been retired long enough. Corrales didn't get in 1st ballot right? Did he miss the boat? Castillo seems borderline. What would your list be for those fighters? Being a HOF fighter is a special thing.

I'm not so convinced Hatton will be inducted into the HOF.

    We'll wait on Alvarez.

I'm not at a computer so I can't research this as fully as I'd like but at a glance, Calzaghe is missing from RJJ's losses.

I don't believe Genaro, Buddy or Haugen are in.

I think Hatton will get in eventually.

His achievements may be borderline in some peoples opinion, but we have to remember that other reasons sometimes come into play when voting boxers into the HOF. Excitement, fan base, impact, etc can nudge you in to the HOF if your achievements aren't enough.

I know De La Hoya fought: Chavez, Whitaker, Camacho(will be eligible this year), Trinidad, Mosley, Gatti, Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacquiao.

Deep breath, I think you're confused... I wasn't talking about B Hop's resume, I was talking about RJJ's... Who fought a 35 year old Tito coming off a 3 year retirement at 170...

Ok so I'm a younger guy so I didn't grow up watching guys like Genaro Hernandez and Arturo Gatti. So what exactly did they do to get into the Hall of Fame?
For the people that did see their careers, do you guys feel like they deserve to be there? If so, why? I'm curious.

Gatti got in because he was entertaining and beloved, Genaro was a much better fighter IMO but he's not in.

Isn't there two hall of fames? I thought Genaro got into one of them. I have no idea, there is always two or more things in boxing (several world championships, several hall of fames, etc.), it's frustrating tbh.

So there is more than winning titles, title victories and resume to get into the hall of fame? Would popularity be one?

Yes there are 2. The WBHOF and IBHOF. I believe Genaro is in the WBHOF but not the IBHOF. I think in some cases popularity does come into it. Especially if the fighter was involved in FOTY, FOTD type fights. It's the reason I think Chico will eventually be inducted.
