Who beats a Prime Joe Louis in a series of three?

My problem with this position is that it excludes other factors. Factors such as Louis having a proper diet, which as we know can lengthy your longevity as an athlete and your prime. On the contrary, a poor or minimal food can be damaging to your body long term. Especially when putting your body through the grind of boxing while in such conditions. Further, training helps one's body take punishment and endure the rigors of fighting. Not training means you're body is taking even more punishment of a non conditions fighter. So while I understand your point, it also works in the opposite direction.

 

Perhaps one line was a bit too dismissive on reflection. I personally feel Louis could hurt Holyfield with his accuracy and power. Louis hurt everyone he hit, some much bigger than Holyfield.

I'd give Dempsey a decent shot at Holyfield, too. It's a styles thing, not a size thing for me.

I don't know what your problem is. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks Louis could beat Holyfield. It's my opinion, but it's no big deal to me.

If you are so sure about your opinions, why not bet on boxing for a living? You might make some serious money seeing as you are always right.

 

you did not understand me, i have no problem with anyone picking louis over holyfield ( it is a close fight), but you said... "louis could hurt bigger guys than evander" and then you said that the size was not important uh? then why did you mention the size?

 

Oh, I see. My bad! I've been a bit rough with a virus and my mind is addled! I should have said Louis hurt guys with great chins or something like that.

 

I agree with all of this, except that I think Louis would likely KO Ali in at least one of their bouts.

 

Those are all...interesting points, but that's not what I was talking about.

I'm saying that if you discard someones opinion because they rate Dempsey highly, then you are discarding the opinion of many credible people like Arcel.
