Given 24 hours to dehydrate? I wouldn't favour anyone over him.

Obviously loads would but there's none I'd favour.

No, I believe I said I would favor a light heavyweight Ali to outpoint him. 175 is not 168, and I might also favor Archie Moore or Ezzard Charles over Roy at 175, but neither of them are a lock.

Hagler was 32 years old when he fought SRL and coming off KO's of Tommy Hearns and John The Beast Mugabi. He was certainly in his prime when he drew with Vito and that was a legit draw.

The truth of the matter is, SRL was just so much better than Marvin that he could come up in weight class after THREE YEARS out of the game and beat him. Plain and simple. Hagler's overrated as ****, his biggest fights came against smaller men and he LOST the biggest fight of his career, and Roy would ****ing smoke him like it's just a day in the office. In fact, Roy would and did smoke Toney and Hopkins like they were club fighters, and either of those guys would beat Hagler.

Roy Jones Jr was too big to be at his peak at 160. It was impossible for him to have the correct dose of athletism/experience to be at his best at that weight. I know he had some seriously good wins at 160, but 168 is where I can't see many people beating him. At 160, I'd favor Monzon and Hagler but not by a big margin. I'll leave old timers like Greb out of the equation because of the difference in eras and the lack of footage.

At 175, I'd pick a few guys against him. A good pressure guy like Qawi, an all around great boxer like M.Spinks and probably a few others.

At 168, I wouldn't pick anyone over Jones Jr.

    Hi mate

I'm not trying to put Jones down, he was a great fighter. Very few would beat him between 160-175, that's over three divisions and that says alot about Jones' phenomenal talent.

It's annoying when the likes of bernie argue that a way over the hill Hagler losing to Leonard, is an indicator that he has no chance against a green Roy? Hagler is a great fighter and you have to respect how good he was in his prime, Hagler v Jones would see Jones having to hold on and survive towards the end, because Marvin is going to keep on coming after him.

Jones v Hearns at 160 is a real pick'em for me, I can see either guy winning on a given night. At 168 or 175 Jones beat Hearns every time

I too would pick Jones over SRR. Roy was a beast at MW, the H2H king at SMW and one of the finest fighters ever at LHW.

There must be a reason why Marvin looked so clubfooted against Ray when he'd been relentless in previous battles. Bit much to say Toney would smoke Hagler, so you mean above 160? Yeah, but not at MW, Hagler was just as crisp, appears to hit harder and was fitter too, prime 4 prime at that weight.

Right. This is an intelligent position. Explain your other position, which is exactly as intelligent as this one. Tell us how Haye just dominates Larry Holmes.

Yeah, Hagler's such a beast. That version of SRL wouldn't beat a Bernard Hopkins 15 years older than Hagler was at the time, I guess Nard must be double superman!
