IMHO, nobody would have beaten Roy at SMW.

When Roy was young at JMW/MW, Nunn was exceptional, and Mike MCCallum was a genius IMO. They would have had a chance. I don't think Gerald would have beaten him, and I would only have given Jackson a punchers chance. I guess people will mention Hearns, Hagler and Monzon from earlier eras. I don't think Hagler and Hearns would have beaten him, and to be honest, I don't know enough about Monzon to comment.

At LHW, Foster, Spinks and Moorer would have been great, hard fights. So they could possibly have beaten him. I can't comment on the old time greats such as Moore and Charles etc.

    But nobody at SMW.

    You're an absolute joker!

Most of the pick em's that you have listed are absolutely hilarious.

You must have typed those names while laughing out loud.

    Kelly Pavlik?

    Jermaine Taylor?

    Iran Barkley?

    Montell Griffin?

    Adonis Stevenson?

    Carl Froch?

    Danny Green?

    Glen Johnson?

    Calzaghe?

    Hearns?

All pick em's at the weights listed, while Roy was prime?

    :rofl

Liles. I don't think so. Nunn at 168. Probably not. Danny Green pickem at 175. No.

Remember wer're talking about prime Roy. Nunn at 160 in his prime is one guy who might beat prime Roy. Also, Hagler could possibly break him down over the long haul.

I also think prime Saad Muhammad would have a good shot. He was better and accomplished much moore than Michael Moorer at 175.

I don't think Charles Williams or Henry Maske would beat prime Jones.

    Barkley at 175. Abolutely not.

No way. Eubank didn't have the speed to stay with prime Jones.

Probably quite a few people, but it is hard to say exactly who with confidence.

I wonder if a young yet green Michael Moorer would have been a danger for Jones at light heavy.

Moorer probably wouldn't win. But a tall south paw with ferocious punching power, quick hands and Manny Steward in his corner.. Probably not the type Jones would be dying to get in the ring with.

The only man I see beating him is Michael Spinks at 175. And even then I'm not too convinced.
