    These guys beat Ali

    Lennox Lewis
    Mike Tyson
    Evander Holyfield
    Riddick Bowe
    Ken Norton
    Larry Holmes
    Joe Louis
Maybe V Klitstchko - he is a very big guy could Ali get to him (Ali bummers don't get mad about this one) or would Klitsch ko him - if Cooper 14stone managed it Vitali has a good chance if he connects.

I think that list is a tad too lengthy

I think Lewis beats him everytime
    Prime Tyson 8 of 10
    Holyfield 8 of 10
Bowe - a tough one but focused and in shape I'd pick him
    Norton did beat Ali 2 0f 3
    Holmes - too big 8/10
Joe Louis - its a tough one 50/50
    Vitali - ?????

What boxers has Lewis ever proven himself against?

Tough match for Ali, but Tyson wouldn't be able to dominate over the long haul and there's no way he's taking Ali out early.

Nope, wrong style for Holy. Evander struggled with a 42 year old Holmes. A top boxer like Ali or a prime Holmes decisions him every time.

Nah, Bowe had poor defense, was much slower than Ali, and was basically outclassed by an old Tubbs. Ali decision.,

    Ali was past it.

How so? Holmes and Ali both stood exactly 6'3". Ali in his prime weighed between 210-214, while Holmes peak weight was around 217. Are you implying that a mere 3-5 Lbs is significant.

    Wouldn't favor Joe.

    No

Lewis beats Ali for numerous reasons; his size, power, strength, he would not be affected by mind games - who did Ali beat that was like Lewis - nobody becuase there where no Lewis' around in Alis day. Ali was usually the bigger man in his fights so he could clown about but he would have no such luxury against lewis.

For me Tyson is like Frazier only much better therefore he beats Ali.

Holyfield - has the strength and will to beat Ali in a close UD

Bowe - Ok this is a bit of a odd one I admit. But in his day he was Big and strong, powerful with very quick hands, I think this combination would be too much for Al

But then again neither one of those fighters could handle a prime George Foreman or Sonny Liston.

I don't see why liston is regarded so highly - who did he beat?? Oh and he took a dive or 2 against Ali - what a great fighter! In today's market he would have been a small heavyweight. His Ko% is no that great - take Floyd Patterson of his record and he is barely a ripple on the division.

Foreman against Lewis? Lewis was knocked out by Rahman & McCall. Foreman's sledgehammer blows would destroy Lewis inside of five rounds.
Tyson- You said it yourself, fights like Frazier, was destroyed by Foreman-Twice!
Holyfield & Bowe like to mix it up too much for thier own good. Foreman has too much power for these two. Although Holyfield should last longer.

Liston is the same type of destructive force.
Liston-Tyson would be a barnburner though! Could go either way.
Lewis has the skills to outbox Liston, but if he gets clipped. it's all over.
Holyfield & Bowe- Again mixing it up with Liston would be a BIG mistake!

Holmes' weight in his prime years was between 210-215lbs. Ali was the same, but weighed consistently less over his prime by a few pounds.

Well, been over this a couple of times, but what the hell...

    1. Lewis never met anyone like Ali, either.

    2. Ali was often bigger than his opponents, but nearly everyone that gave him trouble (Jones, Frazier, Young) were smaller than him. And he had pretty easy time with the opponents that were bigger than him (in reach, height or weight): Liston, Terrell, Bugner, Lewis, Mathis, Foreman.

Lewis on the other hand was often at his most impressive against big, immobile guys. Holyfield and especially Mercer, both smaller than Ali in terms of height and reach, gave him much more trouble than big powerful men like Ruddock, Golota and Morrison.

A guy that struggled with Mercer and had difficulties with a Holyfield pushing 40 would blitz peak Ali inside a couple of rounds?

Tyson is superior to Frazier in several aspects, but doesn't come close to him in terms of stamina, workrate and heart. Tyson's record in fights that went beyond 5 rounds is poor, so if he doesn't get Ali out of there early it doesn't bode well for him.

Not unreasonable. But let's not forget that Holyfield in his prime had arguably more trouble with 42-year old Foreman than an aging Ali had with 25-year old Foreman. He also had a hard time with a 40+ Holmes, who as a 25-year old was the sparring partner of an aging Ali. This doesn't tell the whole tale, but it's food for thought.

Well, if even you think it's odd...

Not only beat them, but beat them up, rather badly.
