Ali did not beat anyone with a big name up to 1967, outside of Liston and those fights look like tank jobs.

Looking backward and forward, Ali didn't do well vs. good jabbers...Doug Jones, Kenny Norton, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Young, Larry Homes, and to a lesser degree Bob Foster ( who was awful at heavyweight and cut Ali ).
He also had issues with good left hookers, floored by Banks and Cooper, well before he meet Frazer in 1971.
I would say the following men in their primes would have beaten Ali:

Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko. All three were good jabbers, with more versatility in attack than Ali had.

Suddenly Ali doesn't have a height and reach edge, which he usually enjoyed. He would have to change his tactics up a bit to score and didn't have the punch to turn the tides later if he was behind.
