Yeah I agree I don’t think GGG could beat Ward, course he has the power but he’s a Middleweight and Ward with his old fashioned bruiser tactics would do that for twelve rounds for a points win

I do have belief in Bellew against Ward at Cruiserweight though especially if fought without any tune ups as even Paul Smith managed to rock Ward.

With clean ref and judges, Kovalev does. Assuming he can gather up the willpower to jog around the block a few times.

Kovalev certainly can, but I don't see how he could be favored after the nature of Ward dominating the rematch after the razor close first fight that most had Ward losing by a point or two. Favoring Kovalev... well it's yourself you're not being honest with.

That dude must have some really high nuts because he was completely bent over when when Ward landed the final punch. By that time Kov had quit.

Assuming he is in the same shape he left the division in, then -

Gotta find it hard to favour anyone against ward, he took the top scalp Kov twice, a scalp noone else got close to taking once, most feared going anywhere near him.

although personally i feel the first fight a draw, but i amnot arguing.

You'd have to be a bit daft to pretend to yourself that the guy who took the top scalp twice isnt going to be favoured over the guys who feared getting beaten the shyt out of by that top scalp.

Gvozdyk, Beterbiev and Bivol have the best chance of the LHWs. Wouldn't feel confident about any particular one beating Ward but if he fought all three I'm sure he'd lose at least one.

Bear in mind we are not talking about a prime Andre Ward, current version is bound to be slower than prime Super 6 Ward or even LHW Ward 1-2 years ago.

Usyk and Gassiev both win quite easily, they are just way too big and strong and have elite skills themselves.

I disagree about Beterbiev, Bivol and Gvozdyk. Sure, none are nearly as proven as Ward. But all three are too good to get schooled, and current LHW Ward is not as good as he used to be in a p4p sense.

Bivol beat Barrera even more clearly than Andre did. No one schooled Gvozdyk or Beterbiev in the amateurs. Gvozdyk is much larger than Ward and Ward would have to try to spoil and attack the body. Andre can win but it certainly won't be a schooling. Beterbiev could in theory get schooled but seeing that he's given even bigger and etronger guys fits in the amateurs so irsi not an easy task.

Lastly you mentioned that Ward was happy to fight Kovalev but not Stevenson. Part of that was the network, Ward had an HBO deal so that fight was easy to make.

But along that line of argument note that Ward wanted to fight ............

    Buglioni

    ........

And when HBO blocked it he retired. Does that mean he knew he'd lose to everyone better than Buglioni? No. But it shows that those fights you mentioned aren't easy otherwise he might as well take them to assert his dominance.
