Joe Smith Jr. Ward can't break his jaw, not enough power. The Beast bombs him right out of the ****ing ring in.... 6.
Kovalev won the first fight and lost the second even though the ending was illegal and should have resulted in disqualification. So he didn't lose twice, only on paper but in the ring he defended his belt as he did. The judges and ward robbed him like a thief in the night of his belts. So don't come to me with this ''tried twice, lost twice'' nonsense. We all know what happened, like Kovalev said, there were witnesses. And let us not forget that Kovalev had to contend with snakes in his camp who were releasing intel to Andre Wards camp on Kovalev's gameplan, tactics and habits, which gave them a upper hand before a bell had even been rang. In regards to Alvarez, the canelo that fought and lost to GGG would have battered Ward, and that's putting it nicely. Let's us take into account he was roided up to the point that it was seeping out of his pores and has his gloves stacked with plaster cement. If Canelo lands those same punches which landed on GGG's chin which he somehow dismissed with a nod, with the same level of force, x mass x velocity2 + roids + cement, then that equals sirens and Andre Ward not waking up I'm afraid.
Nobody. We've already seen that you simply can't beat Andre Ward. If you outbox him you will be robbed by corrupt judges and if you happen to knock him out I am sure you would be disqualified for punching a man during a boxing match because that is just outrageous. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they let him kick you in the nuts and call it a knock out.
lol kovalav was the undefeated unified champ who stevenson had been ducking for years, the fact ward was willing to face kovalev twice shows what ward was about, stevenson has fought bums and mandatories for 5 years, absolute chicken
This. Basically that route was paved and the other was a roadblock. Stevenson is a PBC guy with a Showtime deal and Ward is firmly on the HBO payroll and HBO is on the train... in addition to Kovalev being the better fight that everyone preferred.
So what? He's a boxer. They (almost) all lose at some point. It would take until his mid-30's and half dozenth truly elite opponent to suffer his first loss? Don't think that's the rock or the hard place. Dude has fought plenty of killers, doubt he is shaken by the prospect of facing any of them. We've heard all that talk you're spewing before. And all that talk was wrong.
well kovalev won the 1st by 2-3 rounds. robbed, so he did. otherwise at lhw im struggling to pick anyone.
Kovalev had his chance to fight Stevenson, but his promoter backed out of a purse bid, which said everything about how badly Duva wanted Kovalev in the ring with Adonis, which wasn't at all. Kovalev has an excellent 1-2, good power, but no adaptability, since in both Ward fights he had no answer for Ward's body punching. Adonis would've ended Kovalev. Kovalev unified with an old and shot Hopkins that was so overmatched that Kovalev was pulling his punches for 11 rounds out of sympathy until Hopkins foolishly taunted him in the 12 and Kovalev started going for the kill. Adonis wouldn't have carried Hopkins and would've ended the old Hopkins in 1-2 rounds. Also, Chilemba wouldn't go the distance with Adonis.
For a man who declares himself as P4P no 1 he certainly went out on a whimper. He did a hit and run job because he knew he wasn't capable of defending his titles. Nevertheless he lost the first fight against Kovalev so his undefeated record is merely superficial piece of floss that impresses his cult like fans who seem to believe he is this God figure that is invincible.
