    Here we go.....

Hopkins lost. Poll after poll after poll after poll. He threw like 200 less punches.

Nope, every time I click on any thread on the general forum that includes Calzaghe in any way, you're there posting about him non-stop. No-one, and I mean no-one at all spends more time posting about Calzaghe on here than you :deal

A lot of times I joke around about Calzaghe's greatness, but seriously the guy got it done. Some ridiculous stoppages? Sure. Would he have won anyway? Probably. I would never suggest that he was the hardest puncher, the quickest hands, technically superior, best chin, but the bottom line is he got the job done. Fact.

Roy Jones was nice and flashy, but what would he do when Joe was all up in his face all night "slapping" the **** outta him? Don't forget that Joe would have been younger too if they fought back in the day, and back then Joe had a much better punch.

I don't think finesse cocky Roy Jones boxing would beat him, it would take a Bernard Hopkins that actually punched more. Bernard Hopkins was technically superior and had underrated power but it would take a better game plan. He'd have to create openings, not just wait for them, like he did in the Pascal fights. Hopkins was the man to beat him but unfortunately he came up short, choked (whatever you want to call it) when it mattered.

    Bumping for Calzaghe Justice!

Ward narrowly beat Bika sure the scores were wide but the rounds were razor thin (and many non-biased folk had Bika winning them anyway). Cal vs Bika was rough but Cal prevailed - clearly.

Ward is good....but he aint that good. 168 is Zaghe-land and all must pay homage to him.

Ward would be the only one I would give an outside shot to. I assume we are talking Calzaghe at his best? If so he would dominate this era similar to the way he did during his own. I doubt Ward would beat him, but he is the only one I see that could even be competitive with joe.

Throw Superman Roy Jones into a time machine and he beats the brakes off of Super Joe and stops him when he wants.

Nigel Benn would have a chance of sparking Joe.

He was that type of fighter, anything could happen.

I would give a prime Eubank a better shot than Benn....Watson might actually be the one of the 3 with the best shot to pull it off.

I think Dirrell would be beaten easily by Calzaghe.

Dirrells is not a clever boxer!

Ward and Kessler could win if Joe had to travel! :D

But Ottke, Ward and Calzaghe never goes anywhere... 3 x ultra homeboys! ;)

Ward beat Calzaghe? Behave. Can't see why everyone is so convinced that Ward would win, utter utter bollocks and a desperate attempt by Calzaghe haters to have another pop at his unbeaten record. Infact im confident enough to say Joe would still come out of retirement and beat Ward. Not even in the same league.

too early to say about Ward, but he has definitel;y shown the level to compete with Joe on all fronts.

the others of today? Kessler at home might take Zaghes. Froch has a chance but its not in his favour.

We are talking prime Zaghes, not the older one who ran away from Froch et all.
