liston never did beat or faced a fighter even similar to frazier(in his league) in physique or style.. simple like that, if you had the balls to mention a bum to compare him with joe.. then i say that jumbo chumings was bigger and stonger than sonny liston and he could not even beat a shot frazier :hi:

Im not basing my Liston/Frazier prediction on Liston/Foremans sparring session

Im basing it on styles and stylistically a come forward pressure fighter is a wet dream for a boxer/puncher with huge reach.

Liston himself said 'Fighting Frazier would be like shooting crabs in a barrel'

I like your post and agree with it in principal. But I would still make Holmes the slight favorite over Frazier for the following reasons.

    1. Right hands were what troubled Larry, where as left hooks weren't especially useful against him.

    2. Unlike Ali, Holmes had a nasty right uppercut that fighters often ran into if they crowded him, which I think Frazier would be subjected to.

    3. Holmes was one of the most durable heavyweight champions of all time, with a proven chin and the ability to go 15 rounds in a high paced fight

    4. While Ali had a tremendous jab which he used to confront Frazier with, I think Holmes jab was slightly better and even possessed a bit more sting behind it.

Could Joe win? Sure he could. In fact there are many who would favor him to do so. But looking at their stylistic advantages and weaknesses I can certainly see some things that would balance out in Holmes' favor.

how am i a liar? can you prove im a liar? if you can please do it. if you can't then SHUT THE **** UP, I'm sorry but your hero got knocked the **** out by the man you hate the most. the sparring wasn't competitive at all even though liston eased up on foreman. you can assume it because styles make fights. if you think foreman could destroy frazier based on styles you have to believe the same about liston, if you are unwilling to, you're a hypocrite.

The right uppercut does however leave Holmes vulnerable to Frazier's left hook. Joe's body work could also be a factor. Holmes' would be reduced to a walking target down the stretch, Frazier on the other hand bobbing and weaving, still plenty left in the tank and a live wire with his left hook till the final bell. I think Larry would get stopped between rounds 12 and 15, or loses a close decision. I'm not sure you can beat Frazier on the cards, it would take a super human effort to come out on top. For me you need to knock FOTC Frazier out to beat him
