No a poster was asked to name 10 that would, he provided 15, I added some more. How much of the 175pounders have you seen?

I know bad chad would never beat him. PreWard my ass.
Prime Hopkins wouldn't beat him, a great middleweight and a top lhw but would also be decisioned by kovalev out worked and outstrengthed always
That's two just there who I've seen mentioned. Ridiculous.

Ive seen some of foster, spinks and qawi and I'd make them favourite over kovalev. Especially spinks.
I've seen little of saad Muhammad and conteh and is make kovalev favourite over both.

It's funny that the great lhw's of the past can have loses loses like saad Muhammad and conteh and get a past.

As for charles and moore I'd make them 90/10 favourites over kovalev.

The point is ,would you fancy him over the 15 Suze picked, and the others that I picked?

He is 32 now so how much improvement we will see is a moot point.

I'll bet you he bet you signature rights for 3 months that must be displayed every time the loser posts that he beats Stevenson

    Stevenson is ducking him!

Half of these picks are laughable Kovalev is not a flash in the pan, he seeks the best and beats them convincingly.

To beat Kovalev one is going to need a big time punch ( DQ’s many of these of these names ) and the skill to deliver it. Running is not going to beat him. And the fighter will need a good defense and a good chin.

The below article is a good one that sums up Kovalev’s game. He’s got old school and new school skills….and all time power at 175 pounds.

Yes, some past fighters can have multiple decision and KO losses and get a pass. It’s a good thing for them the Internet wasn’t around in their day.

Sometimes I wonder if you bother reading or have a reading comprehension issue

1 ) Stevenson is ducking him:deal IF they ever fight, please bet me. So says the guy who felt Haye would beat Wlad, and weaseled out of the if the Fitz vs Ruhlin fight was filmed.

2 ) Hopkins was still decent, and no one beat him like Kovalev did. Kovalev won 35 of 36 minutes during the fight on skills, and could have KO'd Hopkins if he wanted to press the action sooner.

3 ) Of course you don't want to debate those who you would pick over Kovalev. You know better as most of them lost to inferior competition:deal, don’t look as good on film:deal and in some cases stylistically do not match up with him:deal

4 ) And this is my opinion. Modern upper weight boxing doesn't suit your agenda. I have yet to see you post positive stuff on Wlad, Kovalev or GGG. Gee, I wonder if there is a reason why:D

I agree with this. Part of it is that folks overrate some of those late 70s light-heavies because they had such entertaining, high-action (low defense) styles and gave us some amazing slugfests.

Kovalev still has open questions but those guys had known flaws and limitations.

I would also give Michael Moorer a good shot at beating Kovalev.

    :good

As Kovalev continues to destroy more top contenders.. I will have many laughs by simply viewing Nay_Sayer's russian hate posts and his followers

He's already done more than RJJ at LHW, RJJ feasted on mall cops. Granted kov's last opponent was a can he still has a stronger resume, pretty much destroyed the entire division except for stevenson.

Remember those awkward shots Pascal was hitting Kovalev with? Imagine Michael Spinks landing some big shots.

I think Spinks matches up quite well with Kovalev- the best out of any LHW of the last 30 years in my book.
