Spinks had an awkward style, good size and reach, heavy hitter... I think he would be more than capable of hurting Kovalev.:good

Mike's just a real weird matchup problem with awkwardness, range, IQ, and power. A real beast of a matchup at 175.

Outside of him, I'd say Kovalev's about even money or better with the rest of the division since then. I could see Roy or even a Moorer (Mike got so few decent fights at the weight that it makes Kovalev's ledger look miles deep, but the power was real) winning, but nobody that I'd feel comfortable picking 7 times out of 10 against him.

I am not too familiar with Moorer's LHW run, but Roy would have to fight a perfect fight against Kovalev.. He would have to start fast, mix it up to the head and body, obviously move a lot.. Roy would hit him, but he would really have to try to make Kov respect him..
If Kovalev can take Roy's power and speed and keep coming forward it would only be a matter of time before he stopped Roy.
