At 160 Ray Robinson would have been as quick as Roy , but with better technique. At 168 I dont think anyone beats Roy.

already lost at middle. he'd have even less chance at 168. i don't see a knockout but i see a one sided ass kicking that bernard never gets over

Joe could throw with much more power when he was younger and was often refered to by the press as the banger from Wales. Not 1 of the first 9 fighters he faced made it to the end of the second! Ok they weren't world beaters but he still put them away.

And older Joe could still throw with power but he didn't do it often as it was a massive risk to his hands. During the Kessler fight he hit the Dane with some pretty big shots!

I needed a laugh and I got it in this thread. So no Middleweight in History could beat a guy that has a fragile Glass Jaw and no heart? How old are some of you? Do you think the History of Boxing started in 1990 or something?

Nope, he had his chance against an injured jones and lost. I think the calz that turned up against a prime sheika would've had the best chance at 68. Whoever said benn at 68 was the best choice against prime RJJ is on something or doesn't know boxing. Benn was strictly a puncher who even
said himself that a prime rjj would've done a number on him.

Nah, Jones when he was rarely hit at those weights was never even a suspect chin. Never was even close to being knocked down, fought with a ferocious intensity.

Do you think Roy Jones' career started in 2004 or something?

    Hagler would beat him definitely.

I'm usually one that shows bias toward contemporary fighters, but in this instance I'd have to side with Hagler.

Hearns could possibly take him as well, if he boxed rather than brawled he would hit Roy at some stage..... if he brawled he would probably be countered silly and probably stopped.

At 168, Benn & Eubank would stand most chance I'd say. Eubank wouldn't chase Jones, he would make Jones come forward...... Calzaghe would be blown away.
