After the performance last night, I cant confidently pick a fighter to beat. Yeah it was only Flat footed Lemieux he was in against, but that movement gliding round the ring, are gonna leave all his opponents hitting thin air ! Very very hard fighter to beat at the moment ! I think GGG hits thin air at this stage and loses on points !

Jesus. Dude just beat Lemieux (beautifully) and now he's the middleweight in the world? Could be, but Saunders seems either to be excellent or ****ing awful. Everyone's just assuming he's going to be and remain at his best despite career-long problems with consistency?

    We'll see I guess. I hope so.

Maybe Golovkin, and that's a big maybe. If he stays in this form, he's practically unbeatable, this version would have 12-0'd CEJ with ease.

There's also the argument of Lemieux not being able to adapt. Eubank looked awful in the first half did Saunders actually just gas or did Eubank just adapt and get stronger? Mayweather looked perfect against Canelo, the next fight he barely got past Maidana. Strong argument for crude Lemieux being the perfect style for him.

I see Canelo, Jacobs, and Derevyanchenko as really close, but I wouldn't pick against Saunders.

Golovkin is made for Saunders and has no chance.

On the evidence of the level of this performance, only GGG.

However, if he drops his level, which will happen (to some extent) if he faces a lesser opponent then I would not rule out a shock defeat. He needs to be motivated to turn in a performance like that, and that means top quality opposition.

Maybe, I've always said Lemieux is crude and basic asf. The only thing that surprised me is that it was a shut out. I expected him to win the first 6 and then fade a bit. He was consistent the whole time. Either he's far better conditioned or Lemieux is crude and doesn't adapt. Actually a combination of both is a possibility too.

Agreed. His face in the Lemieux fight told me he was switched on and waiting for any twitch Lemieux made. Intensely switched on he looked !

Please remove Jacobs from your list. Sergio “punching power of a Latin Snake” (remember snakes don’t even have arms) was troubling him and scored a heavy knockdown against him before he went he had to throw in the towel with a broken ankle.

Jacob is not the elite fighter people want to think he is. He’s a decent fighter who has a sentimental angle to his backstory due to being a cancer survivor.

Forget the Canelo rematch. GGG-Saunders is the fight to make next for all the belts.
