After that cringeing message he left on Buncey's boxing hour yesterday about "yes he can" and all that crap who believes he can? Part of me actually wants him to get a title and have a scrap with Haye so he can get knocked out VIOLENTLY! The guy's a ****.
the guys still living off the crediabilty of winning a gold medal to justify himself as a world class fighter - 8 years on - and with nothing in the pro ranks to back up this boast - he has failed to deliver
Audley is the perfect blue print of what NOT TO DO with your pro career. He was the boss in the gym and hand picked his opponents. He always was a joke..after his next defeat he retires.
I actually really want the guy to suceed. He has far more talent than most of our recenbt heavies. Far better a bloke than that wanker Williams too.
Amazingly Audley has never won any domestic title. Both times he made the step up he lost. If he honestly thinks his going to win a world title the guys crazy. Audleys not even good enough to be a fringe contender.
surely any desire to see him knocked out violently was well and truely satisfied with his KO by Sprott? cant imagine even Haye doing a better job than that.
Like Khan, he should prove he can win the British title before he talks about being a world champion.
Remember when Audley ran up his mouth and said he`d be British champion inside of 5 fights. Yeah that came back to bite him in the ass. Remember when he said he`d be a world champ? Yeah that came back to bite him in the ass too.
Audleys pro career has pretty much been a disappointment from day 1, plenty skills but no real desire to go to the trenches. Hard to win fights and fans that way.
Anyone else think that Audley is trying to do a bit of a George Foreman with the yes he can thing? trying to get the people behind him and capture the nations imagination on his 'final' comeback trail... Big George was a much more likable guy though
The young George Foreman wasnt likable at all. He was menacing and viewed as such. He had an aura that was similar to Sonny Liston. The old George Foreman was seen as a cuddly teddy bear and many admired him for his tenacity as well as being boxings oldest world heavyweight champ when he KO`ed Micheal Moorer. Audley on the other hand endeared himself to no one. He was aloof arrogant and became a millionaire thanks to the BBC of the back of the Olympics. It was a horrible investment by the Beeb. Audley will never capture the publics imagination and i highly doubt anyone would be interesting in getting behind him to lend any support.
The guy has no self belief and thats why he will never be a world champion. If he could get his head together then he could beat fat Peter easily, but with Audley that will never happen and he will end up on Cage Rage or something similar.
Has Harrison ever fought a world ranked opponent. I seriously dont think Williams was in the top 15 of any governing body when the fought, and Dominic Guinn was not either. Just Ridiclious considering he turned pro 7 years ago. What was his ranking when he lost to Williams? Also the only reason he beat Danny inside 3 was because williams had a weeks notice, remember skelton backed out.
