I reckon Macklin could of really pushed martinez if he was fighting him the other night. Sergio was far from his best like

No He gets Dominated and stopped. Barker is more of a classy boxer than Pressure Fighter Macklin. Barker was Walking Sergio down and drawing his leads then countering him. Macklin cant do this

No, Macklin would have tried to walk him down and got caught coming in.

Macklin needs to avoid Martinez for a while. If anything get him a World title fight against 1 of the other title holders. Then aim him for Martinez I think Martinez might well fight Money or Pacman next.

No, because the Macklin of the Sturm fight had a high level of activity, Martinez would find him more often and take him out.

I'll echo all the above answers. His style would suit Martinez to a tee. He gets stopped around the 5th

Macklin has more chance of winning than Barker, but he would get stopped sooner.

You need to apply inteligent pressure on Martinez, like Barker did, but also have the ability to let your hands go when you get there. Macklin would no doubt land a few on sergio but would be taking a lot on the way in. Barker did well but his high held guard allowed him to come forward, Macklin wades in without much head movement and for me would get busted up and stopped.

yeah but he had to get inside to do all that work on sturm, martinez's movement is far superior and he'd keep macklin at range. barker did well when he stayed out of reach and timed his attacks well - macklin just bulldozed in vs sturm, effective then but not against sergio

barker stayed behind his jab kept martinez at distance coudnt see macklin being able to do that id say martinez would off stopped him sooner, i think barker and macklin will be a great fight hopefully they get it on.
