Who believes this? It seems like 1 person hears it and now it sticks like glue. Mayweather struggles vs lefties. He had a couple of tough rounds against the 2006 Zab Judah, and took 1 shot from Corley. What else? Is that struggling?

If that's what you call struggling, then I'm sure alot of fighters wish they struggled with southpaws like Mayweather. Winning by KO, scoring numerous knockdowns, and winning lopsided UD's.

Then again besides Judah those southpaws were **** fighters. Dont tell me Chop Chop and Mitchells were A-class fighters. I would have been shocked if Mayweather DIDN'T win by KO and lopsided UDs. They didnt belong in the same ring with him.

Floyd does relatively well against southpaws compared to most boxers

Corley hit him with a LOT of leather in that fight, not just 1 punch. His style of defense is completely different when facing a southpaw.

You're a fool if you think they were **** fighters. They weren't elite by any means, but they were solid contenders, especially when you consider that both Mitchell and Corley were Mayweather's opponent when he 1st fought at 140 and 147.

Mayweather chose to brawl in that fight, and you're exaggerating how much he got hit just because its more than people used to seeing. Mayweather still beat the brakes off of him. Larry Merchant mentioned that Mayweather was fighing different because he wanted to present a fan friendly style.

He can't when, when he fights cautious and defensive, people complain that he's boring. When he fights more agressive and reckless, people say its because he's struggling.

A slick, defensive southpaw is the most difficult style to fight in the sport. Judah started that fight off fighting very defensively, and it had Floyd confused and frustrated.

please man stop lying to yourself. Corley and Mitchell are nowhere near Mayweathers level. Probably contender for fighters moving up the division at 140 and 147 but Mayweather was already a proven p4p star. No need to up those wins.

Did he struggle a bit? Yes Corley tagged him hard and mitchell caught him with one flush shot.

Was he expected to blow them out of water? Absolutely and he did.

The shoulder roll defense is slightly less effective against a southpaw, but I do not think this will have a major effect in the Ortiz fight. Floyd is going to use a high guard and pick shots off on a wild Ortiz.

That's B.S. Floyd feels them out like any other fighter he faces. Once he figures there style out the fight is over.

What are you talking about. Can you read. Show me where I said that they were near his level.

what you are saying makes no sense. He struggled, but yet he blew them out the water???:huh

Thats, dumb, This is boxing, you're going to get hit. Getting hi a couple of timest does not equate to struggling
