Delahoya, Trinidad - and thats it

Mayweather sold at least 350k with his PPVs before Delahoya. Delahoya sold 2.1 PPV with Mayweather and could only sell 700k with Mayorga. Mayweather will sell more PPVs since building a bigger name and been watched by 2.1m PPV buyers.

So who of the big names sell near as many PPVs as Mayweather?

Mosley - no (what did the Vargas PPV make?)
Hatton - no (80k against Maussa)
Cotto - no (220k against Judah)
Pacman - no (even with Morales he was only just going over 300k in PPV sales)

Yet people say Mayweathers not a draw???? Other than Delahoya/Trinidad no other boxer sells as many PPVs as Mayweather does

Mayorga-ODLH did 900k. PBF-DLH did 2.1mil with 10* the amount of promotions for that.

Outside DLH PBF did 360k with Gatti and 350k with Judah. Pacman did 350k with Morales 2nd time and 355k 3rd time. He also did 200k against practically unknown Solis with no promotions for fight.

I think Mayweather deserves credit for the sales Mayweather-Delahoya. Obviously Delahoya was the draw but Mayweather was the cherry on the cake for sure

Mayweather managed 380k against Baldomir though didn't he?

Remember Morales and the super fight it was brings more buys than Judah/Baldomir

Pacs certainly become a big draw no doubt

    Know how much Mosley-Vargas did?

Mayweather-Baldo did 325k and that was for the undisputed WW belt.

Of course PBF deserves credit for upping the numbers to 2.1, but fact is, those numbers are indicative of what numbers PBF could provide fighting ODLH not other fighters. That fight got CRAZY promotion, shows, magazines, posters, adverts, 24hour reality TV...heck you put that much promotion into any fight and its bound to do atleast 1mil buys.

I believe Gatti, Judah, Morales to be in the same league of PPV sales so thats where I rate them at. So far they did simmilar numbers. Also bear in mind Pacman is not even American and cant speak english. If they start promoting him in the US like they do PBF, hes gonna be huge. Difference being that PBF is promoted to the casual fans and casual fans almost feel cheated of his money and wont wanna watch him again after seing him, whereas the average casual fan would be hooked to Pac once they see his fights.

    Mosley Vargas 1 did about 400k I think, 2nd fight did 350k.

People dont like it but outside of Oscar and I guess Tito now, PBF is the biggest draw. Why? Along with his fans there are a huge amount of people who want to see him lose. Put him against any opponent with a credible chance of beating him (not baldomir) and he'll do the numbers.

True, I think Hatton-PBF & Cotto-PBF would do huge numbers. Doubt it'll be over a mil although it does come down to how much promotion they put in it. Still, I think in terms of legion of loyal fans PBF comes behind quite a few...guys like Hatton & Pac IMO could draw more fighting absolute nobodies just because their fans wanna see them fight. Whereas PBF will sell PPV's mainly because people are intrigued to see if he will loose and thats only if its a credible opponent. Margarito, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley.

Mosley Vargas numbers were very good, if i'm correct. about 450 k.

i think that the klits can do very good numbers. specially when they fight Peter or they are in a unification fight.

or what about Klit Holyfield, that would do very good numbers.

Also Pac Barrera can do 400 k easily.

I guess 350K bought the PBF - Baldomir card to watch Baldomir light it up.

Mayweather puts up solid PPV numbers. There's Oscar, then there's Tito (when he's active), then there's everyone else.

The other notable PPVs of the last couple years, outside of the Odd Couple, fights like Mosley-Vargas, Hopkins-Taylor, Hopkins-Tarver, etc.....did around 300-400k, which is around where Floyd generally does.

Good points but i truly think with Golden Boy Promotions the Mosley fight will be very big numbers man...i mean they promote very well plus its a great fight and ontop of that you know PBF is gonna play the bad guy role to a T!!

You are delusional, if you really believe that.

Don't let your hatred for PBF cloud rational judgement.

If you want to say PBF is the 2nd biggest draw in boxing, fine. But one thing you can not dispute is that there is a HUGE dropoff between the 1st and 2nd biggest draw in boxing. DLH can fight nearly anyone and do 900,000 buys. Floyd willl be more in the range of 300,000.

Mosley for sure! Floyd isn't really a draw. He may be a slight draw now, but that fight could have done him ALOT better had he faught toe to toe, but that would have risked a KO loss. Either way he is only a slightly better draw than he was prior to his bout with DLH. He had the chance to become a household name but he decided to fight "safety first" to walk away with a close win. Mosley and Tito have bigger names than floyd and would do bigger numbers than Floyd.

Floyd did some decent numbers for sure and I didn't know he did that well. He's still behind Tito and SSM!:hey
