Other than the PPV king Oscar, none of the guys Floyd has fought on PPV (and done solid #s against) have really done any good on PPV. Judah-Cotto did relatively low PPV numbers, and Judah otherwise was only the undercard on PPV events. Same with Gatti, and I don't know of any PPVs that Baldomir has otherwise been on.
Floyd did a good job playing the bad guy role but I credit HBO (and GBP) a lot for the incredible PPV sales of Mayweather-DLH. 24/7, being shown right between Entourage and The Sopranos, was obviously key in selling so much. Mayweather did his part, and GBP and HBO sure did its part in promoting the fight (and spending a lot to promote it).
So stinky would Cotto-DLH make more money, be serious man. The whole good guy bad guy thing sold tickets, people lapped it up and that was why it sold tickets. I guess a Floyd would make less than Cotto would in that fight if he fights Mosley or Hatton. You seem to forget DLH makes the money and know way would he give Cotto Floyd money.
Floyd made plenty of money in his fights leading up to the DLH fight. Don't underestimate that HBO money.
