He tested negative weeks before he tested positive which clearly points to usage of the drug there after. Maybe they tried to flush it which was why the amount was low. Who knows. All we can do is speculate on why the drug was in his system in the first place.

    Ryabinsky:

"Povetkin didn't fail a doping test. He has 15 times lower meldonium concentration than the limit established by WADA in March. Now we need to pass additional tests, then we will set a new date of the fight and do it."

Fights not off and Pov failed nothing.

Look at the reports, he failed the test. And I wouldn't put too much stock into anything said by Povetkin's team as their credibility is taking a big hit right now.

There are no reports at the moment available on Povetkin case. But there is a statement about amount from Povetkin promoter which is within allowed limit according to WADA last statement. So what reports are you speaking about?

Failing a test = cheating , any integrity in the sport and the fight can't happen.

    He didn't fail.
    1 microgram = fail
    0.07 microgram doesn't mean ****

Do you not understand "within allowable limits"?

Then why does his promoter say he has to pass additional tests?

You can't say "My fighter passed the test" and at the same time say "He needs to pass addition tests, and once he does the fight should go on."

    WADA code:

"The mere presence of meldonium in an athlete’s sample collected on or after 1 January 2016 constitutes an anti-doping rule violation under article 2.1 of the Code, which triggers the results management process."
