    Allow me to expand!!!!

I may be a smidgen off but most of this will be accurate.

Wigfall from all accounts whupped Hagler (cross town/state whatever it was) in a street fight. Wigfall was already heavily into boxing. Alternative (revisionist?) accounts have Hagler being hit with a bottle but after extensive research i find this to be not true. I mean there is no shame being beaten by an established boxer. Hagler did indeed roll under a car. By many accounts Wigfall stole his jacket.

I've heard about this story, in various forms, and I just recall thinking that the experience just fed fuel into his 'will & determination engine'.

yeah but there is not much else to choose from, a stunning of Hagler for a second was a feat in itself.

Great post again, Double M. Also, it should be noted- I'm sure you this- that Fully Obel later won a strap at 168.

Never seriously. He's very briefly taken aback by a right hand at about the 0:40 mark.

I seem to recall that too. Hart gave a great performance against Hagler. He stood toe-to-toe w/ him for 8 rounds, only to quit. It was unfortunate too, cuz I recall him doing well after being floored in the 3rd, and he had his best rally of the fight in the 8th round. That may have been it.

Indeed he did and he was getting on a bit by then, too. I think he might have fought as high as LHW.

Fully Obel was a solid pro, IMO. Didn't electrify the arena with his workmanlike performances, but he was very capable, nonetheless.

The punch landed at 46 seconds point of the video and Marvin's right leg dips and he backs up out of there and regroups with his legs shaky. He recovered well. Hearns knew he landed a great punch and he saw Marvin back out of there and stop throwing, so I think Hearns expected it to do more damage so he is going for it, but Hagler's chin and determination were great. Hearns breaking his hand? The punch which landed at 1:09 time in the video. Hagler was cut at 1:19 left in the round. Incidentally when Hearns breaks his hand he starts to throw the right hand around in a hook rather than before the break when he punched it straight, as he admitted he did.

Look carefully and you will see Minter stun/check him with a left hook/cross.
Won a few bob on that fight, had Hagler to stop Minter before 4 rounds, like buying money really, what with Minters fragile brows, and Marvins slashing punches, it was on the cards.
