Who can admit they've made some bad picks?

here are some fights from recent memory that i lost actual dough on

lacy over calzaghe
hopkins over calzaghe
de la hoya over hopkins
de la hoya over mayweather
vargas over mayorga
mayorga over trinidad
tszyu over hatton
castillo over hatton
taylor over pavlik

 

This year it was Cotto over Tony, Forrest over Mora, JMM over PacMan (but I scored it for JMM), Hernandez over Braithwaite, Banal over Concepcion, Diaz over Campbell, Khan over Prescott and I think that's it.

 

Hey Hatton didn't do too bad against Floyd, he lost the mental game but skill-wise and physically he proved he was a legit competitor in Mayweather's league.

 

I picked Cotto over Marg and Judah over Clottey. I'd pick Cotto in a rematch with Marg too.

 

this year i've been on track the only fight i picked which was bad was uhh....Judah-Clottey

but i always pick Judah no matter who he fights, just to keep hope alive....so it's not really a bad pick, more of a tradition

 

I had Pavlik over Hopkins, I've never really rated Pavlik but just thought youth and pressure would win the day.

 

I picked Maskaev over Peter.

 

bad picks from this year. from this year

tito KO rjj (absolutely stupid pick looking back on it. i thought rjj draining would make a huge impact)

miranda KO abraham (I like Miranda more than abraham, though i knew abraham was stylistically was guaranteed. a classic case of heart vs. head)

cotto - margarito (i think a lot got this wrong)

pavlik - hopkins. (i'm a fan of oldman river. but i thought he was done after calzaghe. never been happier to get a pick wrong.)

 

I picked Lacy over Calzagheatsch

Also, Cotto over Margarito.

 

I said hell would freeze over before Hopkins beat Pavlik by decision.

I picked Cotto over Margarito and Pavlik over Holder Hopkins.

 

I picked Zertuche over Rubio, Maccarinelli over Haye, Pavlik over Hopkins, and Jeremy Williams over Sam Peter.

 

I can. I thought Pavlik was going to beat Hopkins. Boy was I wrong on that one. :rofl

Judah over Clottey--Expected value bet, Judah was getting 3-1 and it was just v-cash anyway.

Cotto-Margo--Truly stunned. Lost some real cash on that one.

Pavlik-Hopkins--I am utterly stunned, although I made some money off my friends who all thought KP was going to KTFO Hopkins. I bet 3 of them it would go the distance and made a few bucks off that.
