No he didn't JLC did not win 7 rounds of that fight. PBF damn near swept the 1st 6 rounds of that fight. If you give it to JLC that means PBF didn't win any rounds in the second half of the fight, which is ridiculous. He was also injured going into that fight and outweighed by almost 20 pounds on fight night. With that said in the rematch he left no doubt. PBF was 37 years old against Maidana man quit acting like that was a prime PBF it wasn't. Maidana did nothing the second half of that 1st fight because he blew his load too early and was spent. PBF dominated the second half of that fight. Just because Maidana did better than people thought doesn't mean he won the fight. PBF and Zab split the first 4 rounds of that fight and Zab won the 12th because PBF took it off. There was no knockdown so stop. Zab won 3 rounds in that fight it wasn't close and Zab was ready to fold that's why he low balled PBF to try and look for a way out. Mosley beats him??? Great analysis. Mosley has always struggled with boxers he's not shown the ability even in his prime to make adjustments against them. He's too dumb and will always get figured out and outboxed because he's too one-dimensional and easy to hit. PBF always beats any version of Pac because Pac has no answer for PBF's ability to control range and dictate distance you sound like a casual who just repeats things he heard others say. A PED taken 1 day before the fight will not give you any performance benefit. It's just an attempt by PBF haters to try and discredit the win becasue they can't come to grips that PBF gave Pac a boxing lesson and didn't even have to get out of 1st gear to do it.. Lastly he was cleared by USADA and NSAC, if it was something to it Pac and his promoter Arum would have made a big deal about it but they didn't because they already know there's no benefit to taking a PED 1 day before the fight. He beat alot of good fighters Hatton Chico Hernandez JMM Cotto Canelo Oscar to name a few.
Great source dumbass troll Artorias Boxing??? A propaganda racist agenda driven boxing channel they have no credibility and are certified PBF haters and American fighter haters you might as well posted a slo motion upside down underwater video by a fan on the Pacland forum log off. 118-110 deal with it !
135: Duran (60% Duran) Whitaker (50-50) 140: Chavez (60% Floyd) 147: Hearns (75% Hearns) Leonard (65% Leonard) De La Hoya (51% Floyd)
Very few. Past fighters in today's era, I still go Floyd. HOWEVER, If Floyd fought back in the day, where there is no ppv, To make that money he'd have to fight a lot more back then to which I think his hands betray him a few times. Had Floyd not decided to semi-retire when Paul Williams called him out, I'd take his over-the-top punch output to give Floyd a loss. No skilled technician is going to out-technique Floyd. Hence why his hardest fights came in against incessant punchers who don't throw textbook shots At Super LW, Aaron Pryor has the right game to beat Floyd. Maybe a prime Niccolino Loche is the only one I think could make him look ordinary. Not sure who would be the aggressor, but Locche at his best, forces Floyd to adapt to being the aggressor, while Loche plays counter. Pernell Whitaker's inside game he used against JCC can compromise Floyd, But Pernell was streaky, Floyd wins 2 out of 3. Ray Robinson era he gets Charlie Burley'd (ducked due to bad contrast of styles-) If they did fight Ray has the ability to land a come from behind one punch KO. If he fought in the same division as Hank Armstrong today or past, I think he can outwork Floyd to UD in any era.
Damn dude! You are so in love with Floyd Mayweather Jr. that it has made you delusional. Yes, he is an all-time great but he is not TBE. You think your opinion is fact... get over yourself man! Harold Lederman gave Mayweather 4 rounds against Castillo in their first fight. The rematch? Delusional fans like yourself want to pretend like Mayweather beat the crap out of him but it was pretty close (a 115-113 kind of fight). You get all worked up because not everyone is as impressed with Mayweather as you are. Get over it. The guy got every break you could think of. Do I agree with the YouTube video I postes? Not entirely, but I do agree it was a much closer fight than you want to admit.
The story about Robinson duckung Burley has been blown out of proportion. He was never Robinson's #1 contender.
He was Zivics number 1 contender after he beat him twice and was robbed against him (by all accounts) in the first fight. He was denied a title shot. Robinson out right stated that he wasn't going to fight Burley (after he'd already fought everyone in the division multiple times) and George Gainford, manager of Sugar Ray Robinson, admitted that he "bypassed" Burley "because his style was such he would have counteracted Robinson's." He asked Ray Arcel, "Can't you get me someone besides Burley?" Also you don't have to be someone's number 1 contender to duck them
Quite a few rumors did swell about. Luke Carney manager of Fritize Zivac after 2nd loss took on his contract- then ensured Zivac wouldn't have to fight him anymore. Interesting that timeframe shows Burley 1. changed managers (to Canrey) 2. no more for the supposed bad boy of fouls aka Zivac who Ray said it was the fight he learned a lot from. He beat Jack Chase , Fritzie Zivac, & Archie Moore? Knocked out Jack Burns in 4 rounds who came in at 198lbs to his 158lbs? 40lbs and today we can't get these guys to take on 5lbs without crying and wimpering for a catchweight. LOL! I can imagine that wasn't who Ray wanted. And as far as Burley not being his mandatory, i dunno. But then again was Lamotta is mandatory every time they fought? I don't know the rankings of each fighter he defended his title against. 100 fights in 14 years and he never qualified to meet Ray? Placed on the list of the Murderers row with Jack Chase, Cocao Kid, fighters he had to take on. Now true or not there are many sources including the book "More Tales From RingSide" quotes George Gainford Robinson's manager who used the word "bypass" to avoid counteracting Ray's style. Not sure why they didnt call him on it if it weren't true.
